TROPICAL RAINFOREST: Pounding Rain & Animal Calls in Senegambia

In the west African nation of The Gambia, the wet season runs from roughly June until October. During this time, bouts of rain buffet the country in torrents of water that lasts a few hours at a time. No creature is spared from the unrelenting rains. There is little to do during these cloud bursts except sit, wait, watch and listen to the soothing sounds of a lush, tropical rainforest on a rainy day. Shelter in place. #thegambia #revengetravel #rainstorm

Chill Out at Diani Beach in Kenya - EP. 60

There's a point in every travelers life when you need to stop and charge the batteries. I reached that point when I got to Nairobi. I left my bike for a service and flew to Mombasa to catch up with my friends at Diani Beach. This episode is all about socialising and meeting new people!

THRILLZ:

In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.

Throughout my journey, I'm raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. All the money raised will go directly to helping Franek and his family lead as normal a life as possible so please donate generously:

JORDAN PASS COST: How to Get One | Step-by-Step Guide

Hey everyone! In this video, I'll guide you through buying the Jordan Pass step by step. I'll explain what the Jordan Pass is, how to use it, how much it costs, what it includes, and the differences between the Jordan Pass Wanderer, Explorer, and Expert packages.

If you saw my last video or read my blog, you'll know I traveled from Egypt to Jordan by ferry and got a free 30-day visa by returning to the same port. I chose the Jordan Pass not just to skip the single-entry visa but also to save money and time visiting many attractions. It was definitely worth it!

■ 37 SADE ADU QUOTES:

Quotes - To repeat a passage or phrase from a book, speech or the like, as by way of authority, illustration, etc.

When it feels like the world is against you, let the wise words of these motivational quotes lift your spirits. Looking for a little uplift? Inspirational quotes can make us feel ready to take on anything life throws at us, reminding us to see the bright side of life. They might be wise or witty quotes from famous people, or they could be sayings about accomplishment and change. What they all have in common is the power to inspire you!

1. Once a song's out there, it's no longer mine. And that's the whole purpose of music: to belong to people.
2. The anxiety I feel when I'm late is nothing like the anxiety I feel when I'm on time.
3. Whatever I'm doing, I'm in that moment and I'm doing it. The rest of the world's lost. If I'm cooking some food or making soup, I want it to be lovely. If not, what's the point of doing it?
4. I look a lot like my father and his mother.
5. I'm uneasy with fame so I do my best to avoid places that will bring me more attention.
6. I'm not shy or reclusive. I just spend my time with people rather than journalists.
7. My daughter and stepson are really broad-minded.
8. To be a mother you must be strong. Even if you don't feel it, you have to pretend.
9. I don't get easily bored. I'm not that kind of person.
10. I just aspire to pick people up. That's my ambition.
11. Most of my lyrics are little stories about my experiences or those of my friends.
12. I've never associated myself with other singers, certainly not female singers.
13. If you're only making an album every 10 years, it better be good.
14. I am fairly classless because it is very difficult to class someone who comes from a mixed marriage.
15. I can't see myself just endlessly singing the same songs over and over again.
16. I'm not over the top; I'm not wacky. I'm fairly understated, and that reflects in the way I sing.
17. From being at art college, I've always hated people that have the gall to think that they're being incredibly different when they're doing something in a very acceptable way, something safe that they've seen someone else doing.
18. When I was young, people were almost identified solely by the kind of music they liked. People fell into categories of who liked what.
19. I think you only really feel like an outsider if you've been an insider.
20. I always said that if I could just find a guy who could chop wood and had a nice smile, it wouldn't bother me if he was a thug or an aristocrat, as long as he was a good guy. And I've ended up with an educated thug.
21. I'm not anti-fashion, but I've always had a bit of a punk attitude. That's important, I think. I do my own thing.
22. There isn't a class structure in Nigeria; there's a tribal structure and prestige as far as money is concerned.
23. I've got absolutely no real perception, properly, of time.
24. People generally let me be me. People are aware that I'm not someone particularly begging for attention. They hold back a bit with me.
25. All the cliches of glamorous sophistication have little appeal to me. Do I want to live the British version of 'Dynasty?' No thanks!
26. I have no technical training and am completely uneducated in music.
27. When I go into the studio, I completely detach. I let my emotions come out.
28. I am a reluctant celebrity, in some ways.
29. I always see myself as much more of a musician than a celebrity.
30. I love writing songs.
31. When you play arenas you can create whatever you want. At a theater the height of the stage and the limitations of the theater can make you feel more separate from the audience.
32. I'm always late.
33. My father was a very difficult man.
34. I don't like looking outrageous.
35. Radio interviews are really snappy and I'm just bad at that. I just close down.
36. When you tour, you regain the music and the connection with the audience.
37. London was a really multi-racial city ... It's incredible how comfortable people are with race there.

GREECE VLOG: Our 72 Hour Stay in Panormou Athens as Tourists

Welcome to Athens, Greece! It was the second country on our Europe trip, and we could not wait to explore it. We flew with Cyprus Air, landed at the Athens International Airport, and stayed at an Airbnb in Panormou. Our three-day stay was full of adventure. We walked to the ancient Acropolis, the religious heart of the city, and stood on top of Mars Hill where the apostle Paul preached. We happily took the metro and walked wherever we could. Check out the video to see what else we did.

Collette & Amanda in Buyuk Han - In North Cyprus

Buyuk Han is located in the heart of City Centre (Girne Kapisi) in Lefkosa. It’s one of those places we had walked past multiple times while quickly running our errands so we don’t miss the next bus. Last week we ventured inside Buyuk Han and were definitely not disappointed. Walking in to the grand courtyard, you are surrounded by quaint little shops (both downstairs and upstairs) where you can but knitwear, breezy summer dresses, hats and one of a kind souvenir to take home. In addition to the little shops, there is also a cafe/restaurant where you can try classic Turkish Cypriot dishes. It’s a great place to take a break from walking around and sightseeing. Though you still do get to take in a bit more culture while eating.
While in Buyuk Han we got to experience a bit of the present and learn a bit more about not only Buyuk Han, but the history of North Cyprus. Located in the center of this courtyard, I later found out, is a little mosque or mescit that has remained intact throughout the centuries. This small building sits atop six columns, raised above the ablutions fountain below. Although Buyuk Han serves a different purpose now, its origin is quite interesting. The Great Inn (Buyuk Han) was one of the first the Ottomans built after their invasion, being constructed in 1572 on the orders of Mustafa Pasha himself. Buyuk Han was used by weary travelers in medieval Turkey as a place to rest while on their long journeys. Travelers and merchants could sleep in one of the 68 guest rooms available upstairs, while their camel, horse or donkey rested in the stables in the courtyard.
