Cambodia 2019 - Volunteer The Greenway School Samraong
In the summer of 2019 I travelled to Cambodia where I volunteered for an organisation called The Green Lion, which I found via WEP. I taught English for three weeks to less fortunate kids, and it was a really enriching experience. Beside that I also had the chance to discover lovely people and a fascinating culture.
In the weekends we were free to travel. I went to Siem Reap, Angkor Wat, Sihanoukville, Koh Rong, ...
I made a montage of a few images I shot during my stay there. I experimented in my edit and tried new things.

The Agri Tech Centre, Samraong, Cambodia
The brief was to create a centre for agricultural technology that will showcase best low-cost and affordable agriculture and technology practices to farmers and youth in impoverished communities. Moving from education and theory into practice and business enterprise, it provides a space for the Green Shoots FASE (Food Agriculture and Social Entrepreneurship) program which focuses on addressing; promoting and improving education, social capital, entrepreneurship and sustainable farming techniques in rural areas of low economic status and the high urban exodus.
FASE has introduced vegetable gardens and agricultural lessons into 43 primary schools in the Oddar Meanchay province and the Agri Tech Centre will highlight best practices to these primary schools.
SAWA in collaboration with Squire and Partners were appointed the architects to design and deliver the phased approach to the centre. On our research trip, we took time to understand the unique local assets, needs and constraints through close collaboration with our incredible local partner CIDO (Community-based Integrated Development Organization) who have been running the centre since its opening in December 2018.

The Greenway School i Pul landsbyen i Samraong i Cambodja underviser børn fra fattige områder, som ellers ikke ville modtage undervisning. Som frivillig får du mulighed for at undervise børnene i engelsk og give dem bedre udsigter for fremtiden.

Sam Rong market in SAM RONG oddar meancheay CAMBODIA.
ตลาดเช้าสำโรง (Sam Rong Market) เพราะผมรู้สึกแปลกๆ เมื่อไปเดินตลาดเย็นของสำโรง แล้วมีคนตะโกนว่า พระวิเหียร พระวิเหียร พระวิเหียร แต่ส่วนใหญ่ผู้คนร้านต่างๆ เมืองสำโรงก็ ok ไม่มีปัญหาอะไรครับ ตลาดเย็น และตลาดเช้าสำโรงเหมือนตลาดอื่นๆ ไม่มีอะไรจุดเด่นมาก มีปลาขายเยอะ ตลาดเช้ามีสีสันมากกว่า ผมแนะนำไปเดินตอนเช้า ตอนที่ผมเดินผมแวะซื้อข้าวเหนียวปิ้งในตลาดมาทำบุญด้วย ดูคลิกที่ mr.hotsia พาเที่ยวตลาดกันครับ mr.hotsia สิงหาคม 2555
