Valkjärvi is the lushest and an island-free lake located in Klaukkala village of the municipality of Nurmijärvi. On the other side of the lake, lies the village of Valkjärvi. There is a dam at the mouth of Valkjärvi that regulates the water level. Valkjärvi flows into the Luhtajoki River all the way to the Vantaanjoki River. There are two beaches, Tiira beach and Lähtelä swimming pool and boat beach.

Rautjärven ja Ruokolahden rajamailla: luoteis-pohjoisosa kuuluu Ruokolahteen, ja muilta osin Haukkavuori kuuluu Rautjärveen. Haukkavuori on koko Etelä-Karjalan korkein paikka. Se kohoaa noin 80 metrin korkeuteen Sarajärven pinnasta.
Vuorelta avautuu upea näkymä järven ja sen metsäisten rantojen yli.

Kuvaus
Pysäköintipaikalla laavu ja käymälä. Vuorelle noin 1 km kävelymatka, kostealla kelillä suositellaan vedenpitäviä jalkineita.
Vuorelta mahdollisuus kiertää noin 3 km pituinen polku, joka vaatii hyvää kuntoa ja ketteryyttä. (Reittiluokitus: vaativa)
Arvokas luontokohde
Haukkavuori on kasvillisuudeltaan ja eläimistöltään arvokasta ympäristöä, se onkin yksi Kaakkois-Suomen Natura-kohteista. Haukkavuoren omistaa Suomen Kulttuuriperinnön Säätiö.
Lintuja ja lehtomaista kasvillisuutta.
Vuoren lehtomaisella etelärinteellä kasvaa runsaasti kieloa, kevätlinnunhernettä ja lehtokuusamaa. Vanhoja haapoja ja koivuja kasvavalla rinnealueella on tavattu pesivänä muun muassa harmaapäätikka ja harvinainen valkoselkätikka. Kallioseinämien kielekkeillä ovat puolestaan aika ajoin pesineet sekä huuhkaja että korppi.
Historiallinen rajapyykki
Haukkavuori on myös historiallinen maamerkki. Sen kautta ovat kulkeneet Pähkinäsaaren (1323), Täyssinän (1595) ja Uudenkaupungin (1721) rauhojen rajat. Haukkavuoren kallioon hakatut rajamerkit ovat Uudenkaupungin rauhan aikaisia.

Epilänharju on Tampereen kaupunginosa. Kaupunginosa rajoittuu pohjoisessa Lamminpäähän, idässä Lielahteen, etelässä Epilään ja lännessä Tohloppiin sekä Ristimäkeen. Epilänharjun kaupunginosassa sijaitsee muun muassa Epilän kylpylä, joka on nykyään hylätty ja jätetty rapistumaan, sekä Abloy Oy:n entinen tehdas.

Epilänharjun nimen pohjana on Epilän talo ja alue. Tohlopin kylään kuulunut Epilän talo mainittiin jo vuoden 1540 maakirjassa, ja se sijaitsi myöhemmän Winterin maalitehtaan paikalla. Epilä-nimi perustuu mahdollisesti ruotsalaiseen miehennimeen Ebbe. Epilänharjun paikallisena rinnakkaisnimenä on esiintynyt Pirunharju. Alueelle alkoi syntyä teollisuutta 1900-luvun vaihteessa Porin radan valmistuttua. Muiden läntisten liitosalueiden mukana Epilänharju siirrettiin Pohjois-Pirkkalan kunnasta Tampereen kaupunkiin vuoden 1937 alussa. Epilänharjun ensimmäinen asemakaava vahvistettiin vuonna 1956.
