🇲🇺 PORT LOUIS, MAURITIUS – Walking Tour of Central Market, Chinatown, and Fort Adelaide Citadel [4K]
Explore the vibrant heart of Port Louis, the bustling capital city of Mauritius, in our immersive walking video tour. Home to a population of approximately 150,000, Port Louis is a melting pot of cultures and history. Our tour takes you through the city's iconic spots, starting with the Central Market, nestled among the lively streets of Farquhar, Corderie, and Queen Street. Established in the 19th century, the market is a hub of local life, offering a colorful array of fresh produce, exotic spices, and traditional handicrafts.
Next, we venture into Chinatown, a district that showcases the rich cultural tapestry of Port Louis. Established by Chinese immigrants in the late 19th century, Chinatown is a vibrant neighborhood filled with authentic restaurants, traditional medicine shops, and beautiful architecture. It's a perfect place to experience the diverse influences that shape the city.
Our tour concludes at the Citadel, also known as Fort Adelaide, a historic fortress built in the early 19th century. Perched on a hill, the Citadel offers breathtaking panoramic views of Port Louis and its harbor. Originally constructed to protect the city from potential invasions, the fortress now stands as symbol of Mauritius's colonial past.
Join us for an unforgettable journey through the streets of Port Louis, where history, culture, and vibrant urban life come together to create a truly unique experience. Whether you're a travel enthusiast or a history buff, this walking tour offers valuable insights into the rich heritage and dynamic spirit of Mauritius's capital city.

Must-do day trip in Mauritius - Bois Cheri, Ganga Talao, Black river gorges, waterfalls
We do a great trip to the South of Mauritius. A must-do trip and best if you can do it on your last day as a trip to the airport. Starting with tea at Bois Cheri, a visit to Grand Bassin or Ganga Talao temple, then off to natural stuff with waterfalls and views and end up eating traditional Mauritian food at Palais de Barbizon. Add this one to your bucket list for sure.

The Vale. Mauritius. The search for Gajacks (Small village with a lot of mysteries)
The Vale was a complete surprise. So many people selling quality street food in such a small area. I missed out on a lot as I went on Friday during mosque. What most people told me was that after 4 the place is really worth a visit, but we will keep it for another time, as Mauritius is huge and there are still hundreds of places to visit.
That's to all the friendly people from The Vale for a great visit.
If anyone can point me in the direction of some great Gajacks, please leave a comment.

Messy burger and tons of laughs at RocoMamas, La Croisette, Mauritius.
This was a great day out. I was going live at the same time, so I sometimes chatted to that, but it was all fun.
The burgers RocoMamas makes are all smash burgers, which are my favourite. I do have to go back, cause we missed what some people are calling the greatest pud ever, I'll go find out for myself and let you know.
Thanks for watching.
