How was your weekend?

We headed up to NJ for a few family events and stopped in Port Deposit. 𝘋𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘸𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦!!

It is a historic town set on the Susquehanna River just over the Tydings Bridge.

It's just 10 minutes from Great Wolf Lodge Perryville and just off I-95 en route to Delaware, NJ and other points north if you're headed on a road trip and looking for a fun little stop.

@kidfriendlydiningmd posted about a dog-friendly waterfront restaurant there on Instagram so that was our primary destination.

After dinner, we walked the promenade which ends at a pier near a marina with public bathrooms and a nice little playground (𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘴 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘢 𝘱𝘪𝘤) and runs all the way past the restaurant.

It offers great views of the bridges, boats, and sunset. Plus many historical sights marked by informational plaques.

Visit Montgomery County, Maryland

Are you Ready for a Good Time? We're Ready for You. Explore Outdoors, Family Fun, History, Arts & Culture. Sip, Savor Cheers!

Crossvines Winery

I visited the Crossvines Winery in Montgomery County, Maryland.  It was part of the Tastemakers Trail & Culinary Delights tour at MATPRA.

It is a new winery. Everything is state of the art.  It was created to help people who are starting out in the wine-making industry.

They can bring the grapes and this facility will help them produce the wine, from beginning to bottling and packaging.  So the newbie does not have the equipment expense when starting out.

We sampled 4 wines. All were delicious.
