Top Tourist Attractions in The Czech Republic 🇨🇿 | Czechia Travel Guide 🌻
It is simple to understand why the Czech Republic in Central Europe has become such a well-liked travel destination. It is home to thousands of crumbling castles, charming mediaeval cities, and a lot of lovely and serene landscapes. Due to its strategic location in the centre of the continent, it exhibits a diverse range of architectural styles and cultural influences, having been inhabited at various points in time by everyone from the Celts and Slavs to the Habsburgs, Napoleon, and the Nazis.
The landlocked nation, which is largely made up of endless hills, forests, and farmland, is bordered by Germany, Poland, Slovakia, and Austria. It is also home to various rivers and low-lying mountain ranges that wind through its pastoral landscapes. Bohemia, Moravia, and Czech Silesia are the three historical regions into which it has traditionally been split.
Of course, everyone starts off in Prague, the magnificent capital of the Czech Republic and one of the most stunning towns in all of Europe. Its expansive historic centre with its picturesque streets, bustling atmosphere, and a variety of magnificent mediaeval architecture, including centuries-old cathedrals, a castle, and the lovely Charles Bridge, is truly a delight to explore.
Many people visit surrounding castles, vineyards, and rock formations after seeing the Astronomical Clock and other sights, or they travel to Brno or Plzen. While the former is best renowned for its historical and cultural museums and monuments relating to the Moravian people, the latter is well-known for its excellent brewery and serves as a convenient hub for exploring West Bohemia. The beautiful old town and enormous chateau in Cesky Krumlov, as well as the cathedral, ossuary, and silver mines in Kutna Hora, are among the city's many attractions.
In addition to its cities, villages, and castles, the Czech Republic is home to the magnificent Bohemian Paradise and Krkonose rock formations, where visitors may go hiking, rock climbing, and skiing. Along with the stunning Mutenice Wine Region, tourists may unwind in charming spa towns like Karlovy Vary, Marianske Lazne, and Karlova Studanka.

Litomysl (Czech Republic) Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Litomysl in Czech Repuclic.
Samye Gonba is the oldest monastery in Tibet and one of the most important historic landmarks in Yarlung’s Valley Of Kings. A circular wall that contains a hundred and eight chortens surrounds the large monastery complex. The Samye Monastery was designed strictly according to the Buddhist principles of the universe and India’s Temple Of Otantapuri served as its model. The main temple in the centre of the monastery symbolises the mystical Mount Meru that is surrounded by four temples, each located in one of the four directions of the compass. The introduction of Buddhist monastery culture and the decline in the Bon system of faith with its demonic beliefs, gave Tibetan society a new structure. Despite its great age and dramatic history, Samye is still one of the most beautiful and unique religious sanctuaries in Tibet.

Trebic (Czech Republic) Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Trebic in the Czech Republic.
Situated in the southwest of the Czech region of Mähren is Třebič, a small town located picturesquely on the banks of the River Iglawa where, in 1101 A.D., Benedictine monks founded a monastery on a hill around which there was a market that attracted many merchants. Directly adjacent to the monastery is a Renaissance castle which originated from the monastery during the fifteenth century. It was later given Baroque design and today it is a museum. Many Jews immigrated to the town and founded a Jewish quarter which to this day has been preserved and with its small streets, synagogues and more than a hundred and twenty buildings, has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A Jewish cemetery is located on a hill above the Jewish quarter. With approximately three thousand graves it is one of the largest in the Czech Republic and documents the former size of the Jewish community. Třebič is an historical cultural site and at the same time a poignant memorial of the past.

Mikulov (Czech Republic) Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Mikulov in the Czech Republic.
South of Brno, on the Austrian border, the Czech town of Mikulov occupies a strategic location on the former trade route between Vienna and Brno. The ruling Liechtensteiner were conscious of the economic contribution made by the town’s Jewish population and so for three centuries Mikulov became the centre of the Moravian Jews. The synagogue and around ninety buildings have been preserved and have become splendid cultural monuments. An imposing Renaissance castle rises picturesquely above the town and this once royal castle guarded the country's border. In 1249, Přemysl Ottokar The Third assigned both town and castle to the Styrian family, Liechtenstein, in gratitude for their support. In 1560, the Liechtensteiners sold everything to Hungarian aristocrats and in 1575 Emperor Maximilian The Second passed the town as a fiefdom to the Dietrichsteiner. In the eighteenth century, three fires caused extensive damage but, situated between its vineyards, the Late Gothic appearance of this rebuilt town has managed to survive to the present day.

❤️ How did Prague come to be? ❤️
The founding of Prague is explained by a legend, written down by the medieval chronicler Kosmas, The beautiful and wise princess Libuše, who ruled Bohemia and lived on Vyšehrad, ordered a man to be sought by the Vltava River to carve a domestic threshold (práh in Czech). There the construction of a city whose fame was to reach the stars was to begin. As Libusha said, so it was done, and so Prague (Czech: Praha), named after the threshold, came into being.
The city's history begins in the 9th century, when the ruling Přemyslids (according to legend, their ancestor was Libusha), built the first castle on Hradčany. Quickly across the river a marketplace was established, which today is known as the Old Town Square.
Prague owes its splendor to Charles IV and Rudolf II, among others, who accelerated the city's development.
❤️Prague Castle and its most beautiful places❤️.
You can start your tour of Prague with Hradčany Castle. Although it does not resemble a medieval fortress, it is still unique. It is the castle that covers the largest area (70,000 m2) and the largest inhabited castle in the world. In addition to museums, it also houses the seat of the Czech president.
Most impressive to visitors is the Cathedral of St. Vitus and St. Wenceslas, located on the castle grounds. It was under construction for 600 years, only completed in the 20th century! This Gothic church hides beautiful chapels, tombstones, magnificent sculptures and numerous relics.
Hradcany is also home to the famous Golden Street. According to legend, it was inhabited by alchemists who were to obtain the philosopher's stone, which was necessary to turn lead into gold. It is worth a visit, although it is usually heavily crowded.
Also take a look at the castle's gardens, which are adorned with numerous Baroque statues and fountains and beautiful palaces.
❤️The stunning Old Town❤️.
From Hradcany, you can walk down to the Vltava River. Check out Prague's vineyards along the way, and look for the colorful Lennon Wall in the Mala Strana district.
Cross the Vltava River with a dry foot on the famous medieval Charles Bridge. This more than half-kilometer-long bridge is decorated with 30 statues of saints, and at the end is the Gothic Bridge Tower.
Now through the narrow streets you will quickly reach the charming Old Town Square. Surrounded by Baroque townhouses, the square has two immediately striking attractions. The large statue of the reformer and martyr Jan Hus and the amazing Orloj astronomical clock located on the town hall tower.
Wandering through the many nooks and crannies of the Old Town will immerse you in Prague's reality. Here you will see the oldest university in Central Europe, the Karolinum, and numerous interesting churches.
❤️ Dancing House and Golem❤️.
From the Market Square it is close to the former Jewish quarter of Yosefova. There you will see not only old synagogues, but also an authentic alchemical workshop, recently discovered. And you must know that Rudolf II brought the most famous alchemists to Prague. In this district, Rabbi Loewe created the Golem. His remains are said to be hidden in the attic of the Staron Synagogue.
On the other side of the Old Town is the New Town. New is only in name, as it dates back to the Middle Ages. Here you'll find the famous Wenceslas Square, where things very important to Czech history happened. Be sure to see the Dancing House, there is no other like it anywhere.
The panorama of Prague is best enjoyed from three places. These are: Vyrad, the hill where the former seat of the Přemyslids was, a copy of the Eiffel Tower on Petřín Hill, and the famous Metronome, which replaced the world's largest statue of Stalin.
Also decide to take a cruise on the Vltava River to see the city from a completely different side.

🔎 EXCERPT 🔎
10th – Prague, Czech Republic
The Vrtba Gardens in Prague
I bet most of you thought the Czech capital would have a much higher place in this ranking, due to its fairy-tale old town, the well-conserved Prague Castle, and the spectacularly beautiful Charles Bridge, right?
While it is unnecessary to explain why Prague is in this top 10, I think I must explain why it is not in a higher position.
And the thing is: for me, Prague was a disappointment for many reasons, from the scammers and excessive number of tourist traps to some “attractions” trying to rip you off all the time.
We even wrote an article about scams in Europe, and obviously, Prague was mentioned. Tip: avoid money exchange houses anywhere close to the old town and the astronomical clock.
9th – Ljubljana, Slovenia
Ljubljana, Slovenia, one of the best cities in Eastern Europe to visit
The Slovenian capital is a lovely city, sorrounded by mountains, and a hill where you can find a cool medieval military fortress at the top.
The main attraction of Ljubljana however is the city itself. There are some waterways cutting the place that give some Venice feelings but without the crowds of tourists. The Baroque architecture adds to this Italian feeling, which is curious considering that Slovenia is actually a Slavic nation.
They also have nice food and surprisingly nice people.
Honestly, the worst part of Ljubljana is the name of the city itself, hard to pronounce and even harder to write.
8th – Warsaw, Poland
Photo I took during a sunny day in Warsaw, Poland
The Polish capital was almost completely destroyed during II World-War, so one could ask why I still put it here in this ranking.
The reason is that I am a history buff, and Warsaw has more history than you can imagine.
One of the best museums I visited in my entire life is the Warsaw Uprising Museum. It is an emotional experience that everyone should have at least one time during their lives.
Their historical town, despite being a reconstruction of the once completely destroyed old district, is lovely, and differently than Prague, there are not many street sellers bothering you everywhere.
Museums like the previously mentioned Warsaw Uprising Museum, the Muzeum Narodowe, the Royal Castle, the Katyn Museum, the Wilanow Palace, and many others would easily be enough to put Warsaw on this list. They even have a vodka Museum!
