Eswatini Kingdom. Why Is Highly Rated Top Tourist Attractions In Africa. Dicover Mbabane Swaziland

Eswatini fomerly Swaziland is one of Africa's vibrant and emerging economies and one of the smallest countries in Africa. King Mswati III International Airport receives flights from South Africa and other international airlines like airfrance, Ethiopia airlines, Kenya airways, South Africa airways, Brussels airline. Bordering Mozambique, in the southeast of Africa, the lush and mountainous Kingdom of Swaziland, now officially called eSwatini, is Africa's last absolute monarchy. This small but scenically beautiful country of emerald peaks, rivers, ravines, rolling valleys, and waterfalls is a hiker's eden. Nature reserves are the top attraction here, and though only a few host Big Five animals (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), all of them offer an intimate game-viewing experience, beautiful scenery, and a rich diversity of species. Swaziland also proudly preserves its fascinating culture, customs, and festivals. Travelers are welcome to watch some of the festivities of Incwala, an impressive three-week kingship ritual in December and January, and, Umhlanga, the lively Reed Dance ceremony, which takes place during the last week of August or first week of September.

South Africa Travel Part 1 || Panorama Route - Kruger - Swaziland - St Lucia - Drakensberg || 4k

South Africa Travel video Part 1

In the first part of our travel we visited the north part of South Africa and Swaziland:

- Johannesburg
- Panorama Route
- Kruger National Park
- Mjejane Game Reserve
- Swaziland (Eswatini)
- St Lucia
- Dolphin Coast
- Drakensberg

We did a self drive from 15 June to 29 June in the northern part of South Africa. During our trip we came across beautiful landscapes and wildlife reserves.

We landed in Johannesburg and went straight to the panorama route to visit the beautiful landscapes and waterfalls. On the panorama route we visited Blyde River Canyon - God's Window - Lisbon Falls - Macmac falls - Bourke's luck Potholes - ... From the Panorama Route we went to Mjejane Game reserve and Kruger National park for safaris. We are lucky to say that we saw the Big Five. Next we crossed the border and discovered Swaziland (now called Eswatini) to visit the local villages and beautiful nature reserves. From Swaziland to St. Lucia. St. Lucia is located at the side of a lake with lots of Hippos and other wildlife. From St. Lucia we relaxed a day along the coast (Dolphin coast) near durban to then continue our trip to drakensberg for some adventure in the mountains.

This was part 1 of our trip. The second part brings us to the south part of South Africa.

We had a fabulous time at all three Swaziland Nature Reserves and here are our takeaways.

⛺️ Malolotje National Park - R540 (Per Couple P/N Inc Conservation Fee)
We consider this a one-night campsite, the ablutions were clean & there was a donkey boiler for hot water. The campsite had nice green grass & was very well maintained.
Pro's ✅
- Campsite & Ablutions
- Views
- Hiking Trails
- Birding
- Roads were great
Con's ❌
- Expensive (Don't accept Wild Cards)
- On a Quiet night you can hear the highway

⛺️ Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary - R270 Per Couple P/N (Wildcard Accepted)
This was truly a lovely spot, and the staff were super friendly. Amazing campsite facilities, & the walking trails offered a lot of upfront encounters with animals.
Pro's ✅
- Well Priced (Accept Wild Cards)
- Campsite Facilities
- Wildlife
- Walking Trails
- Birding
- Roads were great
- Loads of Activities
Con's ❌
- We honestly can't think of any 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♂️

⛺️ Hlane Royal National Park - R270 Per Couple P/N (Wildcard Accepted)
Hlane's water hole is what truly makes this place, & perhaps the park's crutch. The campsite is clean & has hot water. They put little lanterns at night which we thought was a very special touch.
Pro's ✅
- Well Priced (Accept Wild Cards)
- Campsite Facilities
- Waterhole
- Can Hear Lions Every Night
- Birding
Con's ❌
- Very fenced in
- Lions are closed off and you can't get to them unless you pay for a game drive
- Road Signage Terrible
- A lot of school buses come for picnics at the campsite
- Thick Bush for Game Viewing

Mlilwane Wild Life Sanctuary, Swaziland - Canon HD - Virtual Trip

The Mlilwane wildlife sanctuary is one of the three main animal reserves of the Kingdom of Swaziland. To recall, there are:
The Hlane for the lions
The Mkhaya for its Rhinoceros
And finally the Mlilwane wildlife sanctuary which is a rare park where you can walk freely (due to the absence of predators). We come here mainly to rest, to enjoy a typically African landscape, with its many Acacia tortilis (a kind of natural umbrella!), Its zebras and impalas that wander around, and which make this decoration a real postcard. Hypopothames and crocodiles can also be found near the largest pond.

If we did the Kruger just before, the place will not seem exceptional either, however it is a real haven.

Hiking SIBEBE Rock in Swaziland | Solo travel

I went to Swaziland, ALONE! Yeap, my first time traveling outside of South Africa alone. Even though it was a 3 hour drive from my home but it counts hahaha, I did it. I went to eZulwini which is the jungle (i felt) of Swaziland, it was so lush and green and water falls flowing full. But I didn’t get much content there, in the video I am now at SIBEBE rock which is outside the Capital city Mbabane. Is it so beautiful and the rock is massive too. The people the were very nice and kind and made sure I was comfortable because I was alone. I have a guide hike with me to the view point of SIBEBE and it helped to get some content...

Enjoy
