~MALTA~ Pieta, Msida & Tax- Xbiex

Hi everyone :) Today we are exploring the seaside villages of Pieta, Msida and Tax- Xbiex. We start at Pieta in-front of the parish church of Our Lady of Fatima on Gwardamanga hill, go down the main road near the historic chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows. Then we go along the coast and arrive at Msida. We check out the marina, go in the parish church of St Joseph and then set of the Tax- Xbiex where we saw a traditional Maltese bus, beautiful sea view villas and end near the Black Pearl restaurant. Hope you enjoyed :)

Which area of Malta is best to live ?

These are the best places to live in Malta. In this video im sharing information about living in Malta in the Central part VS the North part VS the South part. In the Central part of Malta we have Valletta the capital city, Sliema and St Julians which are the areas in Malta where a lot of tourists are visiting. Valletta is a place where you can find a work but i would not recommend to live there, it is better to live in the surroundings of Valletta, places like Pieta, Hamrun, Qormi, Marsa and Santa Venera. In the North part of Malta we have the St Pauls Bay area which is perfect to find job opportunity during the season in Malta, and it is an area where a lot of Expats are living in Malta. The South part of Malta i divided it to Marsaxlokk and Marsaskala, where i prefer to live in Marsaskala. Then we have Birzebugga where foreign people from African countries prefer to live and lastly we have Zurrieq and Qrendi which are one of the most Maltese areas where mostly local people are living. These areas in Malta are quite and very clean but far from the central Malta so you definitely need to get a car or spend 1 hour journey with a bus.

Amazing Malta-Rabat

Rabat is a town in the Northern Region of Malta, with a population of 11,497 as of March 2014. The name of the town is derived from the Arabic word for 'suburb': الرباط, as it was the suburb of the old capital Mdina. Half of the present-day village core also formed part of the Roman city of Melite, before the latter was resized during the Fatimid occupation. The Apostolic Nunciature of the Holy See to the Republic of Malta is seated in this village. The Local Council of Rabat is also the administrator of Baħrija. Parts of the films Munich and Black Eagle were shot in Rabat. In December 1999, Mtarfa seceded from Rabat to form a separate Local Council by Act XXI, an amendment to the Local Council Act of 1993 (Act XV). Wekipedia

Asking people How Much Rent they Pay in Malta

Asking people how much rent they pay in Malta ? In todays video i met people that are living in Malta and asked them how much rent they pay. Some of the answers shocked me, as poeple who moved to Malta are paying a sharing room for €375 per month. Some other people are paying €950, some €1400 and even €4500 per month. The rent in Malta for accommodation is different according to the size of the apartment and the locality. Needless to say the rent in Malta has gone high up in the past 5 years and many people are not happy about that.

About Places 2 Go Travel P2GT
=====================================================
On my travels I'm joined by my good lady (most of the time), my Dad (some of the time) our wider family occassionally and my dog when not travelling overseas. What's This Channel About: It started as a travel diary, as a way to share our experiences with our friends and family. A wider audience took an interest in my videos and things just grew from there. I'm trilled at the idea that people on Youtube may get something out of my videos and I love to connect with people who are like minded and enjoy travel as much as we do. Why We Love To Travel: As a young adult I was always too busy working to take vacations. My mindset was fixed on building a successful business and this was always justified by telling myself that I'd travel once I'd made my fortunes. By the time I was 30 years old I'd only been on two overseas vacations and did not think I was missing out. Roll forward to 2015, my good lady finally convinced me to book a stay at an all inclusive resort in Fuerteventura. It was an amazing experience and I was instantly bitten by the travel bug and now want to see loads of different places and travel as much as we can. How frequently Do you Travel : As frequently as possible, currently around seven times per year. We have committments at home meaning we need to fit our travel plans in around everyday life. Why Are We Not On Camera: These videos are about the places, adventures, experiences and destinations. The videos are not about me / us - I'm not a TV presenter and I have absolutely not desire to be in front of the camera. Whilst not adverse to being on camera it's just not what our videos are about at the moment. What's in our kitbag: Canon SX540, Canon SX510, various GoPro cameras including the Hero 3 Hero 4 Black and the Hero 5 Black plus a Nextbase Dashcam and Samsung and Apple cameraphones. Our Favorite Places 2 Go Travel: Canary Islands, especially Lanzarote & Fuerteventura are big favourites with us because of the near year round sun and relaxing vibes. =====================================================
Cameras: GoPro 3, 4 Hero, Canon Powershot SX510 & SX540 Editing: Cyberlink PowerDirector, Windows Movie Maker

You can truly apreciate beauty visiting St. Peter's Pool. Feeling the wind and the sound of the waves in this place is just amazing.

One of the most beautiful and stunning natural swimming pools in Malta is St. Peter’s Pool; near to Marsaxlokk of Delimara Point in the southwest of the maltese islands.

This rocky beach known as St. Peters Pool has the perfect enviroment to enjoy a summer day. This place offers activities such as snorkelling and diving. The flat rocks around around St Peter’s Pool provide perfect spot for swimming safely and the high rocks gives some shade from the sun.

Blue Grotto, Malta #shorts

A beautiful view of the blue grotto in Malta.

The Blue Grotto refers to a number of sea caverns on the south east coast of Malta, a short distance from the fishing harbour limits of Wied iż-Żurrieq, Malta. Wied iz-Zurrieq, the blue grotto and neighboring caves, are all located within the Qrendi village confines, per Local Council Act 1993 and a 1910 legal dispute between the villages of Qrendi and Zurrieq over their jurisdiction, which ruled in favour of Qrendi.

Both the Wied iz-Zurrieq harbour and Blue Grotto sea caves are located on the coastline opposite to the small uninhabited islet of Filfla, [1] which is a bird sanctuary.

The location of the caves lead to the seawater reflecting shades of blue on the cave walls and ceilings.

Several caverns also mirror the brilliant phosphorescent colours of the underwater flora and fauna, whilst other caverns show a deep dark shade of blue.

Underwater, different colours of red, mauve, green, orange and yellow give an impressive picture to visitors.

The Blue Grotto is a popular destination for tourists to Malta with boat trips visiting the caves running all days of the year, weather permitting.

Scuba diving on the nearby scuttled wreck Um El Faroud, and snorkelling along the coastline, together with rock climbing, are the most popular activities practised here.

The location has been used many times by filmmakers in big screen and TV productions, namely Hell Boats, Troy, twenty-fifth season of The Amazing Race, Cadbury Milk Tray chocolate adverts, and the Rai 2 travel programme Sereno Variabile, amongst other smaller commissions and photoshoots.

Malta, officially the Republic of Malta, is an island country in the European Union consisting of an archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea, between Sicily and North Africa, and considered part of Southern Europe. It lies 80 km south of Sicily (Italy), 284 km east of Tunisia, and 333 km north of Libya. The official languages are Maltese and English, and 66% of the current Maltese population is at least conversational in the Italian language.

Malta has been inhabited since approximately 5900 BC. Its location in the centre of the Mediterranean has historically given it great strategic importance as a naval base, with a succession of powers having contested and ruled the islands, including the Phoenicians and Carthaginians, Romans, Greeks, Arabs, Normans, Aragonese, Knights of St. John, French, and British, amongst others.

With a population of about 516,000 over an area of 316 km2, Malta is the world's tenth-smallest country in area and fourth most densely populated sovereign country. Its capital is Valletta, which is the smallest national capital in the European Union by area and population. Malta increasingly is referred to as a city-state, and also listed in rankings concerning cities or metropolitan areas. Malta is one of the two island countries in the Mediterranean, along with Cyprus.

Malta became a British colony in 1813, serving as a way station for ships and the headquarters for the British Mediterranean Fleet. It was besieged by the Axis powers during World War II and was an important Allied base for operations in North Africa and the Mediterranean. The British parliament passed the Malta Independence Act in 1964, giving Malta independence from the United Kingdom as the State of Malta, with Elizabeth II as its queen. It has been a member state of the Commonwealth of Nations and the United Nations since independence, and joined the European Union in 2004.

Malta has had Christians since the time of Early Christianity, though was predominantly Muslim while under Arab rule, at which time Christians were tolerated. Muslim rule ended with the Norman invasion of Malta by Roger I in 1091. Today, Catholicism is the state religion, but the Constitution of Malta guarantees freedom of conscience and religious worship. The economy of Malta is heavily reliant on tourism, and the country promotes itself as a Mediterranean tourist destination with its warmer climate compared to the rest of Europe, numerous recreational areas, and architectural and historical monuments, including three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum, Valletta, and seven megalithic temples which are some of the oldest free-standing structures in the world.

Primary schooling has been compulsory since 1946; secondary education up to the age of sixteen was made compulsory in 1971. The state and the Church provide education free of charge, both running a number of schools in Malta and Gozo, including De La Salle College in Cospicua, St. Aloysius' College in Birkirkara, St. Paul's Missionary College in Rabat, Malta, St. Joseph's School in Blata l-Bajda and Saint Monica Girls' School in Mosta and Saint Augustine College, with its primary sector in Marsa and its secondary in Pieta.

One multinational city to live in Malta

If you wonder where to live in Malta, one great multination city is Paola. This is a city with around 10 000 citizens. This city is in the central area of Malta, on a 15min bus ride to Valletta, the capital city of Malta. Paola is beautiful, very busy, lots of shops, restaurants and connections around Malta. I wonder if this is one of the best places for expats to live in Malta, it is affordable and property prices are on the cheaper side.
