East Coast Drive - Roche Noir to Post de Flacq
We start at Roche Noir on the east coast, home of caves (lava tunnels) including Cave Madame. The road is one of the prettiest and includes the famous windmills (aka massive scary wind turbines) and a drive through Bras d'Eau national forest. Then onto Poste de Flacq on a new road that would make a great rally stage.

The Vale. Mauritius. The search for Gajacks (Small village with a lot of mysteries)
The Vale was a complete surprise. So many people selling quality street food in such a small area. I missed out on a lot as I went on Friday during mosque. What most people told me was that after 4 the place is really worth a visit, but we will keep it for another time, as Mauritius is huge and there are still hundreds of places to visit.
That's to all the friendly people from The Vale for a great visit.
If anyone can point me in the direction of some great Gajacks, please leave a comment.

A real treat at Best Pastry N Bistro Petit Raffary Mauritius
We visit a new place in Petit Raffary Mauritius called Best Pastry N Bistro for the Menu Du Jour (Meal of the day). It is a great place with plenty of parking. As it was Friday they had the fish curry, homemade style, by the owner's wife, it was a real treat. We also tried their famous chicken rounder, with its secrets. As the name starts with Best Pastry, we had to try some, Tiramisu cake with vanilla milkshake was the perfect pudding, but we also tried the cheesecake, as they had so many treats on offer we had to leave before we ate them all.

The Caudan Waterfront in Port Louis has just undergone a massive refurbishment with the introduction of new shops, restaurants and a pedestrian friendly space. I check out the bread festival, a fabulous Italian restaurant, and meet with a local who carves sculptures out of wood.
An icon of Pereybere beach, Gloria Fastfood
We visit one of Pereybere beach's classic food outlets. Gloria introduced kebabs to Mauritius and they are still producing some of the best kebabs on the island. We got them two ways, in a wrap and on a piece of pita bread, both were delicious. We also had to try the fried noodles and fried rice. What a great experience right on the beach.
