Places to see in ( Sevenoaks - UK )
Places to see in ( Sevenoaks - UK )
Sevenoaks is a town and civil parish situated south-east of London in western Kent, England. Sevenoaks is served by a commuter main line railway and is 21 miles (34 km) from London Charing Cross. Sevenoaks is the principal town of the Sevenoaks district, followed by Swanley and Edenbridge.
A settlement was recorded in the 13th century, when a market was established. Construction of Knole House in the 15th century helped develop the village. Sevenoaks became part of the modern communications network when one of the early turnpikes was opened in the 18th century; the railway was relatively late in reaching it.
In the 21st century, it has a large commuting population, although the nearby Fort Halstead defence installation is a major local employer. Located to the south-east of the town is Knole Park, within which lies Knole House. Educational establishments in the town include the independent Sevenoaks School and Knole Academy.
Sevenoaks is situated at the junction of two main routes from the north before traffic climbs over the Greensand Ridge which crosses Kent from west to east; that situation is similar to Maidstone and Ashford. That road was one of the earliest in the county to be turnpiked in 1709, because of the clay soils.
Sevenoaks, like much of West Kent, is characterised by high levels of economic activity and a skilled resident workforce. A large proportion of that workforce commutes elsewhere to their places of employment, mostly to central London. Knole Park is a 1,000-acre (4 km²) deer park with several million trees. In its centre is Knole House, the home of the Sackville family (the Earls of Dorset) since it was given to them by Queen Elizabeth I in 1577. The estate is owned and maintained by the National Trust, although the Sackvilles still live there. It is frequently visited by the school in town.
Riverhill House and gardens are located directly to the south of Knole Park, on the southern edge of Sevenoaks. The house and gardens, which were first built in the 16th century, are privately owned by Jane Margaret Rogers but are periodically open to the public. Sevenoaks is located at the junction of two ancient roads heading south from London and Dartford to the Weald. In 1710 part of one of the roads - from Sevenoaks through Tonbridge and Pembury to Tunbridge Wells.
( Sevenoaks - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting the city of Sevenoaks . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Sevenoaks - UK

WALKING IN KENT | PEMBURY | SPRING WALK | FINALLY REUNITED
For this short 4.5 mile circular Spring walk in Kent, I was finally reunited with the very lovely Candice. We started and finished in the lovely village of Pembury and were soon out in the countryside with amazing views of both the Weald and the North Downs. The weather was varied, one minute it was warm and sunny, the next it was heavy rain with thunder and lightning, followed by some windy conditions. The main thing was it was just great to be back out with Candice again doing what we love most, going for walks together.

Superb South Wales Caravan Site | Pembrey Country Park CAMC
Hey, welcome back to our channel and to Pembrey Country Park CAMC Site
We were in Wales for two weeks with our Caravan and spent 7 nights at this great site. Set alongside the 520 acre Pembrey Country Park, this site is in a fantastic location for enjoying the great outdoors. The beach at Pembrey, just a 20 minutes walk form the site, is absolutely astounding, miles of flat sand and views for days!
Getting out to explore the local area from here is easy, it's an hour from 3 locations, all of which we visited: Tenby, Mumbles and Rhossili Bay. The nearest big town is Llanelli if you need a big supermarket etc.
All in all, this is a great caravan site and of course is of the standard you'd expect from the Caravan and Motorhome Club.
We hope you enjoy this video, we also have lots more caravan vlogs on our channel, so if that's your vibe please do stick around and subscribe. We also have tons of UK Travel vlogs which you can find here:

There’s History Everywhere! - Walking The Pembrokeshire Countryside, West Wales
We’re outside again, visiting the Bluestone Resort, Pembrokeshire Wales.
Wherever you walk in Wales you’re never far away from some fascinating places and history.
The Bluestone Resort is situated in the Pembrokeshire countryside near Narbeth. We take a walk around the site and come across on old medieval church, the ruins of a mansion, an ancient pilgrimage route and an ancient hilltop fort, all this history within a mile of Bluestone.
It’s not just Wales, wherever you visit in Britain and however remote it may feel, there’s history everywhere.
Hidden in the trees in the middle of the resort are the remains of Newton North Church dating back to the 12th century. Not far way away in the neighbouring woods is Castell Coch, a well-preserved late medieval fortified mansion house.
We did try to find the early Blackpool Iron Furnace dating from the 1700s but it was too overgrown or we were in the wrong place.
We walk a small stretch of The Knight’s Way, an ancient Pilgrim’s path which actually runs all the way to St David’s Cathedral.
Finally, we visit Minwear Ringwork, an old hilltop fort alongside the valley of the Penglyn Brook in Bluestone. The site is very overgrown but you can still male out the embankments and ditches. It was originally thought to be Iron Age but CADW suggest that it dates from the early medieval period.

WALKING IN KENT | ALKHAM | FINAL SPRING WALK
This was the final Spring season walk from my Year Round Walks in Kent guidebook. I was joined by Candice once more for this 5 mile circular route in the village of Alkham and the Alkham valley near Dover.
The route passed the ruins of St. Radigunds Abbey, where we stopped for lunch. There were some steep climbs in and out of the valley but the views at the top were always worth it.
The weather started out great, very hot and sunny, but by the end of the walk it was pouring with rain! Luckily it was still very warm outside with no wind and we only had quarter of a mile to walk back to the car so our lack of waterproofs was not a big deal!
