Pet friendly (pets are allowed) park includes Kid's playground, trails, with a sandy beach. Amazing scenic view of the mountains and Payette Lake. Sharlie the sea serpent lake monster (the local lockness monster) lives in the Payette Lake, according to the locals and legends! This park features a statue of Sharlie. Also a great tourist road side attraction place to visit and take pictures, or go swimming, picnic, great for families, or just to travel to or site-seeing, etc.
Information and history: With what began as a Rotary International Club improvement site, this park has become highly visible & noted for its aesthetic location on the lake. Rotary Park is great for families—the beach & playground facilities provide excellent recreational opportunities. There is a grassy patch, public restrooms, picnic tables & a swimming beach (at your own risk; there are no lifeguards). Rotary Park is located at the east end of Lardo Bridge, between Highway 55 & Payette Lake, where the N Fork Payette River exits the Lake at Lardo Bridge. There is a parking lot at the entrance to the Park.
