Clarkdale Arizona tour - Verde River
This is a walking tour of Clarkdale Arizona.
In this video we will be visiting the Verde Canyon Railroad, Clarkdale Historic District and The Verde River.
Today we start our adventure at the Verde Canyon Railroad station located at 300 N Broadway, Clarkdale, AZ 86324. This is a heritage railroad running between Clark dale and Perkinsville in the state of Arizona. This video will only show the train station and area. The excursion takes passengers deep into Arizona’s backcountry only accessible from the comfort of this classic train. This ride will take you through sculpted and colorful landscapes with views of a red-rock canyons and so much more. Next onto Clarkdale Historic District. It was founded in 1912 as a modern copper-smelting company town for the employees of the mines in Jerome and their families. This town is one of the first master-planned communities in Arizona. It was built to provide housing and amenities for employees of the copper mines in Jerome. And last, we will visit part of the Verde River. The Verde River is one of Arizona's only federally designated Wild and Scenic Rivers. It is open for recreational activities including kayaking, canoeing, rafting and fishing.

Prescott, AZ - 4K
Prescott (/ˈprɛskət/ PRESS-kət;[6][7][8] is a city in Yavapai County, Arizona, United States. According to the 2010 Census, the population of the city is 39,843. The city is the county seat of Yavapai County.[9] In 1864 Prescott was designated as the capital of the Arizona Territory, replacing the temporary capital at Fort Whipple.[10] The Territorial Capital was moved to Tucson in 1867. Prescott again became the Territorial Capital in 1877, until Phoenix became the capital in 1889.
The towns of Prescott Valley, 7 miles (11 km) east; Chino Valley, 16 miles (26 km) north; Dewey-Humboldt, 13 miles (21 km) east, and Prescott, together comprise what is locally known as the Quad-City area.[11] This also sometimes refers to central Yavapai County in general, which would include the towns of: Mayer, Paulden, Wilhoit, and Williamson Valley. Combined with these smaller communities the area had a population of 103,260 as of 2007. Prescott is the center of the Prescott Metropolitan Area, defined by the U.S. Census Bureau as all of Yavapai County.
The Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe reservation is located adjacent to and partially within the borders of Prescott.
Prescott is in the Granite Creek watershed and contains the convergence of Miller Creek and Granite Creek on its north side.[12]
