The annual Palmares Festival kicked off with the tope (horse parade). Approximately 2,500 riders and horses rode 3 kilometers through the town of Palmares, located in the province of Alajuela. A crowd of thousands lined up the streets under the 30 degree Celsius sun to cheer the most impressive horses. Families and friends brought chairs, ice chests, food, beer (of course), some even brought barbecues.

Hotel Cascada de Fuego Promo Video

The Cascada del Fuego Hotel is located in La Fortuna and is only 1km from the La Fortuna Waterfall which is accessible by car, bike, or by foot. In addition, the property has access to the Rio La Fortuna River and other water features. It is a large property, 33,916.12 m2 of manicured space and imaginative gardens. There are 50 private cabins built with cement and wood, each containing its own bathroom and covered terrace. In addition, the hotel has a 1000 m2 large event hall with a professional kitchen and is well equipped with ample storage space. Hotel guests enjoy the large pool with two adjacent jacuzzis. A unique feature of the hotel is a life-size hibiscus labyrinth. There is a total of 2000 m2 of construction.

The Cascada del Fuego has enormous potential. Construction is needed to complete some units, and several cabins are in need of either renovations or demolition. Additionally, there is a water slide that is currently disassembled. This property has ample infrastructure and landscaping that is ready for the next generation of owners and entrepreneurs. With modernization and vision, it is ripe to become an incredible facility for vacationing families, couples, and individuals alike. The property has plenty of land for expansion with a high return on investment. The location is ideal and the price reflects the potential for growth, takes into consideration the need for remodeling, but offers an opportunity to own a large reenvisioned hotel.

La Fortuna is known as a gateway to Arenal Volcano and local tourist attractions such as lake Arenal, and the National Park which include the 5,357-foot (1,633-meter) Arenal Volcano and the 3,740-foot (1,140-meter) Chato Volcano. The active Arenal Volcano is still laced with lava flows while hot springs dot the foot of the volcano, on the thermal Tabacón River. Dormant Chato Volcano has a crater lake and rainforest trails leading to La Fortuna Waterfall, with its natural pool.
