Who are we?
We are a Brazilian couple who have been sailing the world for the past 4 years, we left from South Brazil aboard our first sailboat, a small 32ft classic boat, Unforgettable! With little or no experience we learned a lot along the way and we keep learning more and more every day. 4 years and 15k NM later we are in our 3rd boat, Unforgettable 3, yep, life is full of surprises! We are currently in French Polynesia, exploring this amazing land, or sea, and sharing our adventures and experiences with you every Monday trough these videos made with love.
We believe in an alternative lifestyle, closer to nature (where we all came from) and the importance of having dreams and pursuing them, because you're the only one that can make it happen.
We've been broken a few times along the way, we get tired of things breaking all the time and being so vulnerable to natures will, but we really love living on the sea and sharing the reality of life aboard with you.
When we started our youtube channel Unforgettable Sailing we had no idea we would meet so many people from different places and see so many beautiful cultures, we produced more than 100 videos in Portuguese, some subtitled to English, and now we felt the need to connect with more people and grown even more our great community, include these people we had the pleasure to meet onboard so we recently started to produce our videos fully in English.
Hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoy making it!

Getting breakfast on a Sunday morning at the Pape'ete markets is a ritual for Tahitian locals - our tour guide Kahu Kaiha shows us some of his fave foods and recommendations so you can eat like a local too!

Pua Roti (chinese BBQ pork), Fafaru (Fresh fish fermented in ocean water), Mitihue (special Tahitian coconut sauce) and much more. Check out more of Kahu's recommendations in the video and if you've been to the Pape'ete markets - let us know what your faves are.

Papeete Tahiti Quick Guide

It is best to look at both the town and the beach when deciding what to do here. Tahiti is a land of expensive paradise. A beach day is ideal, the best beaches are private and you may need to book.

Tahiti Portfolio 2007

This video features photos taken of Tahiti back in 2007. We were there to see what the surf, climate, and landscapes had to offer. Photos and video produced by Trade Federation, inc. in 2007.

Tahiti is part of French Polynesia. French Polynesia includes Tahiti, Moorea, Tetiaroa, Maiao, Mehetia, Huahine, Raiatea, Bora Bora, Maupiti, Tupai, Maupelia, Manuae, Motu One. The island of Tahiti appears to be two large islands (land masses) connected by narrow and natural bridge. The entire island is surrounded by reefs. You can see large waves breaking about ¼ to ½ mile from shore. There is one major road that goes around most of the island. There is a potion of the Tahiti coast that does not have a road. There is also a road that goes through the center of the island but you need a tough 4x4 vehicle to travel it.

Genuinely friendly people. Everyone wears flowers in there ears. A famous Tahitian flower is called the Tiare. In many parts of the island you will see young men spear fishing. The spears are made from tree branches and will have a thinner sharper tip. In some cases the tip will be made from a piece of metal. Wood carving, painting, traditional dancing and other artistic expressions are popular. The weather is always warm in Tahiti. There are times that you will need a light rain coat or umbrella for short periods of rainfall. In some parts of the year, it rains nights and morning to then clear up for a sunny afternoon. In other parts of the year it may tend to rain late in the afternoon. The hotel season is between December and April. The Dry season is from April to June and again from October to December.

There are many white and black sand beaches commonly called plages. You will tend to find clear water beaches having white sand and scattered sections of reef. Some of the famous surfing spots located in Tahiti include Teahupoo, Papeno, Supinas, LaFayette, and Beach Combers.

Teahupoo is a world famous surfing destination and host to major surfing competitions. Famous professionals incuding Thierry Vernaudon, Andy Irons, Kelly Slater, Michel Bourez, Mark Occhilupo, Mike Stewart, and cory lopez have surfed this location. Teahupoo is located in the south east part of the island where the road ends. There is a small café that serves fish, hamburgers, and ice cream made from poi (Taro Ice Cream).

Tahiti is a great pacific destination. Warm weather, exotic culture, and fun activities for all to enjoy.

We have ONE WEEK to get our LIVES RIGHT (Ep. 170)

Hello Salty Crew! This week we sailed to a Marina to get our lives right. To be on the dock from time to time can be very convenient. We have lots of maintenance to do, shopping for the boat and some bureaucracy to solve. After leaving our sailboat on anchor for 6 months and recovering from Covid to be on the Marina was a nice treat. Will we manage to get Unforgettable back on shape in one week?

Lindblad Expeditions Explores a New World Under the Ocean Cruise Chat 110

Kathleen from Plenty of Sunshine Travel met with Lesa from Lindblad Expeditions for this week's cruise chat.
.
Lesa did an excellent brand overview and discussed the advantages of cruising with Lindblad. I love how they were the first expedition cruise line to sail in the world. They were the first in Antarctica in 1966 & the first in the Galapagos in 1967! Lindblad has partnered with National Geographic to explore our world's oceans. Their ships are designed as meeting spaces, so when you return in the evening, you can sit around a fire and discuss the day's adventure!
.
Lindblad has partnered with National Geographic to explore the oceans of our world.
.
Their ships are designed as a meeting space, so when you return in the evening you can sit around a fire and discuss the day's adventure!
.
One of the great things about their ships is that you are travelling with a National Geographic photographer, so they can not only give you pointers on how to take the perfect picture, they will share their photos with you.

.
Lindblad has many solo staterooms, which is fabulous! You don't need to worry about a large single supplement with them! From single staterooms to family programs to activities for a multi-generational cruise. There is 100% something for everyone!
.
The ship's hull is designed to cut through the waves. This allows a much smoother cruise for us!
.
The largest ship that Lindblad has is 148 guests. Perfect for exploration, this way, you will always have access to a guide.
.
There is a whole world under the water, and I am very excited that Lindblad highlights this world.
.
Lindblad has expeditions in so many fantastic destinations. Something for everyone. Including:
Africa, Alaska, Amazon, Antarctica, Arctic, Atlantic Isles, Australia and New Zealand, Bahamas, Baja California, Belize & Guatemala, California Coast, Canada, Caribbean aboard Sea Cloud, Costa Rica, Panama & Colombia, Egypt aboard Oberoi Philae, Europe & British Isles, French Polynesia & Pacific Islands, Galápagos, Greenland, Iceland, Indonesia & Papua New Guinea, Italy and Croatia aboard Sea Cloud II, Japan, the Mediterranean aboard Sea Cloud, Pacific Northwest, Patagonia, Peru, Scotland aboard Lord of the Glens, South American East Coast, Vietnam & Cambodia aboard The Jahan
.
Please email me at Info@Plentyof.SunshineTravel.com to get on board or to get more information, and I will respond as soon as I can.

How Many Countries Are There in Oceania?

Would you like to know how many countries are there in Oceania? In today’s video I will be showing you all the countries in the Oceania continent. Do you know that Oceania is the smallest continent in the world?
This continent has around 14 countries including Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Hawaii among others. Oceania covers an area of around 3.9 million square miles teaming with over 40 million people who speak over 600 different languages and dialects.
So, without further ado, let’s get started. These are the 14 different countries in Oceania!
1. Australia
Australia, the largest and most populous country of Oceania region, is home to 25 million people. With 7.6 million sq. km of land area, it is the sixth largest country in the world. And guess what? This results in a population density of only about 3.3, making it one of the least densely populated countries.
Although most of the inland is desert or semi-arid, Australia is one of the world's most developed countries with a very high Human Development Index. It ranks highly in many international comparisons of national performance, such as quality of life, health, education, economic freedom, and the protection of civil liberties and political rights.
The economy of Australia is a prosperous mixed market economy, with a GDP of $1.62 trillion making it the richest country in the Oceania region.
2. Papua New Guinea
Papua New Guinea is a country located in Oceania. It is made up of the eastern half of the island of New Guinea and several offshore islands, the largest of which is Bougainville.
Papua New Guinea has a population of 9 million people. The majority of the population is located on the island of New Guinea. The country is relatively young, with a median age of 22.4 years. Papua New Guinea covers an area of 452,860 square kilometres. The country is home to a wide variety of landscapes, from lush rainforests to rugged mountains.
Papua New Guinea is a culturally diverse country. Did you know that there are over 850 different languages spoken in the country? This makes it one of the most linguistically diverse countries in the world. The majority of the population is Christian. However, there is a significant minority of Muslims.
3. New Zealand
Did you know that New Zealand belongs to the Oceania continent? It is basically an island country located in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. It has a land area of 268,021 square kilometres and a population of 4.8 million people.
New Zealand is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary democracy. The head of state is the monarch of New Zealand, currently Queen Elizabeth II. The head of government is the prime minister, Jacinda Ardern.
The Maori are the indigenous people of New Zealand. They make up 16.5% of the country's population. The Maori have their own language, culture, and values. They are an important part of New Zealand's history and identity. New Zealand is a beautiful country with a lot to offer. It is a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
