Ruskin Island is an island located in the (north) Bolgoda Lake in Diggala, Panadura, Sri Lanka. It is named after Ruskin Fernando, a Sri Lankan parliamentarian and businessmen, who once owned the island.
It is home to a number of villas, resorts and bungalows but even during the day it has little human presence. The island is replete with lush vegetation and has a diversity of fauna. Its most striking feature is its serene beauty. Access to the island is normally through a ferry.

Pandura beach - Sri Lankan beautiful beaches

Panadura Beach is a popular coastal area in Sri Lanka, located in the Kalutara District. It's known for its sandy shores and beautiful views of the Indian Ocean. The beach offers a relaxing environment and is often visited by both locals and tourists looking to enjoy the sun, sea, and beach activities. Just remember to follow any local guidelines or rules when visiting!
Panadura is in the Western Province of Sri Lanka, a large town bustling with people and the joys of local life. It is popular for its beach, with a long stretch of the sea, and bordered coasts shrouded with golden sand. Kite flying is a favourite activity on the beach. Panadura is quite secluded at most times.
Panadura is unlike most beaches in Sri Lanka like Hikkaduwa and Mirissa. It is not widely regarded for its water adventures of scuba diving and snorkelling along with the usual hustle of nightlife in the coasts. However, Panadura presents a landscape for some edgy family time and romance by the seas with your loved ones. Coconut trees, sumptuous food whole-heartedly prepared by the women in Kalutara, cosy homestays against the backdrop of the salty ocean breeze – is everything right about the vibe in Panadura!
