Top 10 best small towns in Pennsylvania. #1 is perfect for families.
Pennsylvania is one of the greatest states in this country. With beautiful rivers, forests, and people.
Back in 2015 I visited Honesdale, Pennsylvania, and fell in love. So much so I now own land in that area. If you are looking to buy a home in a small town I would look in Pennsylvania and talk to a realtor.
If you have never visited Pennsylvania I would encourage you to do so. You will thank me for it.
Do you need a local Realtor for the area you want to move to?
I have teamed up with HomeAndMoney.com to help you find one that suits your needs.

Palmyra Cove is probably my favorite place to hike along the Delaware. It has about 10 miles of trails, so there are many different routs you can walk for a fresh look at the park each time you visit. There is an abundance of wildlife and the park as a whole is one of the more unique locations we've visited.

Palmyra New York Historic Restoration Sites LDS. Smith Family Farm Sacred Grove
Check out our other vlog/travel videos:
We spent the day in Palmyra New York visiting the historic sites. This is such a cute town that gives you a glimpse inside what life was like in the early 1900’s. We went to the Joseph Smith family farm and saw the log home, the frame house, and the sacred grove. Rain stopped us from seeing more but we quickly went by the visitors center and the Hill Cumorah. We ended the day at one of our favorite restaurant Tom Wahl’s for burgers, onion rings, fries, and homemade root beer!!!!

Joseph Smith Family Farm - Palmyra and Manchester, New York
The Smith Family Farm, in Palmyra and Manchester, New York, is open to the public year-round. This historic site is located on the 100 acres of land cultivated by the Smith family in the 1820s. Tours and markers on the site tell about Joseph Smith’s First Vision and his first visits with the angel Moroni. They also describe the Smith family’s life on the farm. Tours of the farm include a reconstruction of Joseph Smith’s boyhood home, a restoration of a larger home the family later built, and the stand of trees now known as the Sacred Grove.

Top 10 Ancient Cities 2016
10-Ani,ARMENIA
Situated along a major east-west caravan route, Ani first rose to prominence in the fith century after chirst, and had become a flourishing town and the capital of Armenia in the tenth century. The many churches built there during this period included some of the finest examples of medieval architecture and earned its nickname as the “City of one thousand one Churches”. Eventually the city was abandoned and largely forgotten for centuries. The ruins are now located in Turkey.
9-Palmyra,SYRIA
For centuries Palmyra was an important and wealthy city located along the caravan routes linking Persia with the Mediterranean ports of Roman Syria. Beginning in two hundred twelve, Palmyra’s trade diminished as the Sassanids occupied the mouth of the Tigris and the Euphrates. The city was captured by the Muslim Arabs in six hundred thirty four but kept intact. The city declined under Ottoman rule, reducing to no more than an oasis village. In the seventeenth century its location was rediscovered by western travelers.
8-Pompeii,ITALY
On August twenty four, seventy nine after christ, the volcano Vesuvius erupted, covering the nearby town Pompeii with ash and soil, and subsequently preserving the city in its state from that fateful day. Everything from jars and tables to paintings and people were frozen in time. Pompeii, along with Herculaneum, were abandoned and eventually their names and locations were forgotten. They were rediscovered as the results of excavations in the eighteenth century.
7-Ctesiphon,ROME
In the sixth century Ctesiphon was one of the largest city in the world and one of the great cities of ancient Mesopotamia. Because of its importance, Ctesiphon was a major military objective for the Roman Empire and was captured by Rome, and later the Byzantine Empire, five times. The city fell to the Muslims during the Islamic conquest of Persia in six hundred thirty seven. After the founding of the Abbasid capital at Baghdad in the eighth century the city went into a rapid decline and soon became a ghost town.
6-Ephesus,TURKEY
Ephesus was the Roman capital of Asia Minor, and home to over a quarter of a million people—from slave traders to saints—at its peak between 1 AD and 2 AD. The site of the Temple of the Artemis, which was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, ONE HUNDRED FİFTY years of excavations at Ephesus have revealed the most complete Greco-Roman classical city on Earth. No wonder it was just added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
5-Palenque,MEXICO
Palenque in Mexico is much smaller than some of the other lost cities of the Mayan, but it contains some of the finest architecture and sculptures the Maya ever produced. The city declined during the eighth century. An agricultural population continued to live here for a few generations, then the lost city was abandoned and was slowly grown over by the forest.
4-Tımgad,ALGERİA
Timgad was a Roman colonial town in Algeria founded by the Emperor Trajan around one hundred after christ. Originally designed for a population of around fifteen thousand city quickly outgrew its original specifications and spilled beyond the orthogonal grid in a more loosely-organized fashion. In the fifth Century, the city was sacked by the Vandals and two centuries later by the Berbers. The city disappeared from history, becoming one the lost cities of the Roman Empire, until its excavation in eighteen eighty one.
3-Tikal,GUATEMALA
Tikal was the largest Mayan city with an estimated population between one hundred thousand and two hundred thousand inhabitants. As Tikal reached peak population, the area around the city suffered deforestation and erosion followed by a rapid decline in population levels. Tikal lost the majority of its population during the period from eight hundre thirty to nine hundred fifty and central authority seems to have collapsed rapidly.
2-Petra,JORDAN
Petra, the fabled “rose red city, half as old as time”, was the ancient capital of the Nabataean kingdom. A unique city, carved into the side of the Wadi Musa Canyon in southern Jordan centuries ago by the Nabataeans. After several earthquakes crippled the vital water management system the city was almost completely abandoned in the sixth century. Lost city was rediscovered by the Swiss traveler Johann Ludwig Burckhardt in eighteen twelve.
1-Machu Pıcchu,PERU
One of the most famous lost cities in the world, Machu Picchu was rediscovered in nineteen eleven by Hawaiian historian Hiram after it lay hidden for centuries above the Urubamba Valley. The “Lost City of the Incas” is invisible from below and completely self-contained, surrounded by agricultural terraces and watered by natural springs. Although known locally in Peru, it was largely unknown to the outside world.
