As we reached the spot we were mesmerized by the huge shiva linga.
This Linga looks about ..20. ft tall.
How old this Linga could be?
Whether it is man made or natural?
Sadly I could not get any of my question's answer.
This place is isolated and surrounded by hills and cashew trees.
Every year a large number of people visit here to worship lord shiva on Shivaratri.

Palasa to Chandragiri: trip to Jiranga Monastery
Today we are taking you to- Jirang or Jiranga, which is also known as Odisha’s Little Tibet.
We traveled around 180 kilometers from Palasa to reach this amazing place.
The main attraction of this place is The Padmasambhava Mahavihara Monastery located at Chandragiri. It is said to be the largest Buddhist monastery in Eastern India. Let me tell you the history of this place in brief. The Chinese invasion and occupation of Tibet in 1959 forced thousands of Tibetans to seek shelter in India. Then Chandragiri, was chosen as one of the main six camps established in the country. The Tibetan refugees who stay at Jiranga call this place as Phuntsokling
, which means -Land of Happiness and Plenty. Accord for the monastery was given by the Dalai Lama in 1998. This Monastery was built by architects from Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan. It is a school for Tibetan studies. The five-story monastery has a huge meditation shrine hall and other small temples, institute and hostels. Now around 200 monks are resident in the monastery.

Road Trip to Palasa, Andra Pradesh, India | Akkupalli Beach | Palasa City Tour
On the 10th day of our All India Trip, we stayed in a budget hotel at Palasa, Odissa, India.
We reached about 9.30 p.m. at Palasa, and there are 3 or 4 hotels only there.
Palasa is a town in the Srikakulam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
There are two beautiful beaches. We spend our half-day bank of Bengal, and we put our tent near the Cashew file.
Lishi prepared the complete lunch. Farmers who were staying near the beach provided Drumstick leaves for side dishes. She cooked rice and dal fry curry and omelet.
Our children, Ninav and Apoo enjoyed bathing in the sea, they spent more than 3 hours at the beach.
Akkupally Beach is a vast beach with a very small crowd and tourism authority making the huts and refreshment centers there.
Beaches have lots of plastic wastes and other.
Akkupalli Beach in Kasibugga village. When we drive to the beach, we can see many ladies sitting with a mud pot it has Palm tree wine. It is very healthy, this type of drink is available only in Akkupally Village and near villages in Andra Pradesh, India.
After that, we walked in the cashew factory to see the cashew making process, and the locals explained a lot about it.

Palasa railway station (station code: PSA) is located in the Indian state of Andra Pradesh, 204 km from Visakhapatnam, It serves Palasa and surrounding areas in Srikakulam district.
Palasa is a town in Srikakulam district of the Indian state of Andra Pradesh. It is a municipality and the mandal headquarters of Palasa mandal. It is located near to the National Highway 5 between Srikakulam and Berhampur. Along with its twin town kasibugga, it is often referred to as Palasa-Kasibugga.
The Palasa Railway station is classified as an A–category station in the Khurda Road Railway Division under East Coast Railway.

Ratty, Akkupally, Metturu & Thoturu (Hanuman Saagar) beaches are nearly 14 km from Palasa railway station.
During the period 1893 to 1896, 1,287 km (800 mi) of railway tracks covering the entire coastal stretch from Cuttack to Vijayawada, was built and opened to traffic by East Coast State Railway in 1893.
Palasa railway station has a double-bedded non-AC retiring room. Other amenities at the railway station include computerized reservation offices, telephone booth, cloakroom, waiting room, vegetarian and non-vegetarian refreshment rooms, and book stall.
Nestled in a region dotted with innumerable temples and gardens, this is a tourist hotspot. Important Palasa attractions include Arsavalli, Srikurmanatha Temple and Mukhalingam. Arsavalli houses a temple dedicated to Lord Surya. Previously known as Harshavalli (meaning abode of joy), it is believed to have been built by Devendra Verma, king of Kalinga, in 7th century. Legends state that Lord Indra, king of Gods, tried to enter the temple of Koteeshwara and was thrown out by Nandi. Repenting, he built a temple of Lord Surya here. Mukhalingam Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
This was the capital of Eastern Ganga Dynasty. Built in 8th century by Kamarnava II, this beautiful temple is situated on the banks of Vamsadhara River. Best time to visit Palasa is from October to November.
Palasa is famous for its best and rich quality cashew nuts and cashew factories and vasudeva temple in mandasa.
Agro exports There are around 350 cashew processing industries around Palasa town, the highest amongst the northern coastal districts. These twin towns are the largest cashew producing towns of Andhra Pradesh and are among the largest processing centres in India. The cashew industry provides direct and indirect employment to about 15,000 people in the surrounding areas. Palasa-Kasibugga Municipality is called as White Gold City because in Palasa Kasibugga Cashew processing industries are one of the promising sector producing valuable commodity exported to Gulf, European and Western countries.
