Kharian (Urdu:), is a city located within the Gujrat District of the Punjab province of Pakistan. Kharian is the headquarters of Kharian Tehsil. According to 2017 Census of Pakistan, it has a population of about 90000. It also is known as Little Norway of Pakistan because more than 70 percent of Pakistanis in Norway belong to this area.

Kharian city. The chief city of Kharian Tehsil, it lies almost midway between Lahore and Islamabad on the Grand Trunk Road (colloquially known as the GT road). The main railway line also passes through Kharian thus providing good transportation to the northern and southern parts of Pakistan.

Pabbi Forest was declared to be a reserved forest vide notification No. 109/ F of 6th March, 1879 under section 34 of the Indian Forest Act VII of 1878 published in Punjab Gazette of 06-03-1879 part-I page 75.
The project has been prepared for provision of facilities and essentialities in the newly notified Pabbi National Park for the visitors and nature lovers specially the youth of the adjoining Districts as well as the enthusiasts travelling along the G.T Road from Lahore to Rawalpindi and vice versa.
The Project is directly related to the Scopes of the Forestry and Wildlife Sector as it aims at development of natural resources, the conservation and enrichment of flora / fauna and provision of recreational facilities; overall Scope will be the improvement of natural environment. The conservation of the climax flora of Pabbi Rasul Forest Reserve / Pabbi National Park shall have an impact over the climate changes being faced in the country through resilience and mitigation activities.

Cherat: 4 Best Things to Do in Eagles Nest - The Home of Special Service Group [4K]
Perched on the crest of Khattak range at an elevation of 4,447 feet, Cherat is shaped like a sausage measuring 2 miles in length. The hill station dating from the 1860s is located immediately above the villages of Chapri, Saleh Khana, Kotli Kalan and Dak Ismail Khel in the Nowshera District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan.
The British took over Peshawar District in 1849 from the Sikhs and Station their troops in Peshawar. The sizzling summers of Peshawar led to the discovery of Cherat as a station. It was first used as sanitarium for troops in 1861 and was later transformed into a cantonment in 1881. The cantonment commands a view of the whole of the Peshawar valley on one side, and on the other of a portion of the Khwarra valley in Peshawar District, and of Kohat District as far as the Indus.
After independence the boys wing of armoured corps was placed here for some time. On first raising in 1956 Cherat became the Home of Special Service Group of Pakistan Army, and has become to be known as The Eagles Nest.

Cherat is 62 km south east from the city of Peshawar and 150 km from the capital city of Islamabad.

It is one of the most beautiful place in Gadoon Amazai. this Dam is surrounded by Gajai, Pabaini, Panjamin and Qadra. the view of the Dame is amazing. when someone goes first time he was attracted by the awesome views of the Dam. this is situated near my village Pabaini. the area in surrounding the Dam is backward and we hope that the area will developed.
during my last visit to my village i planned to make video of this Dam. there is also too many videos of this Dam on You Tube no video has highlighted the Dam so clearly. i tried my best to present the Dam to the mark.
