How to travel around Bucharest and from Otopeni Airport by train - Important tips!
Here are some very important tips on how to travel around Bucharest and by train from Henri Coanda Otopeni Airport to Gara de Nord, the main Bucharest railway station. Especially if it is your first time visiting Bucharest, if you aren't careful you can end up paying a lot more for your travel so it's important you pay the right fare. I'll show you all the tips and tricks on how to travel like a true Bucharest local. It's good to have about 50-100 LEI (10-20 EURO) cash on you for Otopeni-Bucharest and other Bucharest transport, but beware, the worst exchange rate is in the airport followed by the railway station, so, if possible, wait until you are in the city to exchange the bigger sums you will need for your trip.

Bucharest, Romanian: București is the capital and largest city of Romania, as well as its cultural, industrial, and financial centre. It is located in the southeast of the country, on the banks of the Dâmbovița River, less than 60 km (37.3 mi) north of the Danube River and the Bulgarian border.
Bucharest was first mentioned in documents in 1459. It became the capital of Romania in 1862 and is the centre of Romanian media, culture, and art. Its architecture is a mix of historical (mostly Eclectic, but also Neoclassical and Art Nouveau), interbellum (Bauhaus, Art Deco and Romanian Revival architecture), socialist era and modern. In the period between the two World Wars, the city's elegant architecture and the sophistication of its elite earned Bucharest the nickname of 'Paris of the East' (Romanian: Parisul Estului) or 'Little Paris'
Bükreş (Rumence: București), Romanya'nın başkentidir. Romanya Ovasının ortasında, Tuna Nehri’nin bir kolu olan Dâmbovița’nın kıyısında kurulmuştur. Nüfusu 2,1 milyon civarındadır (2016).

The capital of Romania, Bucharest is a truly intriguing city where modern sophistication meets a rich and varied history. The business center of the city definitely has a cosmopolitan feel, but farther afield Bucharest still feels a little rough around the edges. The restored Old Town with its resplendent buildings is simply magnificent, as is Nicolae Ceausescu’s Palace of Parliament. One of the world's largest buildings (and with all its marble, certainly the heaviest), we highly recommend a tour of its gilded interior. This Paris of the East also has some amazing cafes and delicious restaurants, especially in the Lipscani district.
