INSANE Traffic Jam on Tibetan Plateau | S2, EP46
In this video, Flo and me are first visiting Labrang Monastery which has the largest community of Tibetan monks outside of Tibet. The area around the monastery is also widely inhabited by Hui muslims.
We then headed further south towards Sichuan Province where we got stuck in an insane traffic jam for several hours on the Tibetan Plateau. In the late evening, we finally reached Langmusi, a village on the borderline of Sichuan and Gansu Provinces characterized by its monasteries and mosques as well as its insane history.

I learned about how they live off the land and even celebrated my host's birthday with his family while attempting to overcome language barriers and connect with this wonderful Armenian family.

Apply E-visa
The cost of obtaining an single entry e-visa is 20 USD and multiple entry e-visa 53 USD. You can pay fees with a valid Visa card.

BEST TIME TO VISIT UZBEKISTAN?
The best time for Uzbekistan travel is in the Spring (from March to May), or Autumn (September to November).
FLIGHT
The most cheap flight option is now Indigo Airline. Yon can get one round trip ticket within BDT 60,000/- if you buy ticket one month in advance. You can fly from Dhaka to Tashkent, Uzbekistan with a transit stop in Delhi airport. In this case, you do not need any kind of Indian Visa. Indigo Dhaka airport boarding counter will give you two boarding cards. Indigo Air Dhaka to Tashkent will have one PNR number. So, you don't need to worry about India Visa at all.
SIM
The coverage with 'Ucell' is pretty good and 50,000 Som will get you 22GB of data. You can buy sim from tourist center in airport.
CURRENCY
Withdraw uzbek currency SOM (UZS) from ATM near baggage belt at airport.
TAXI OR BUS FROM AIRPORT TO TASHKENT CITY
YANDEX TAXI: Download “YANDEX TAXI” app and use. Yandex taxi in allover Uzbekistan is very cheap. Tashkent Airport to city 20,000 SOM and 30-minute drive by taxi.
Airport Official Taxi: Official taxi cost 50,000 som.
Bus: Bus #67 goes straight to the city center. Buses that run daily from 6 am until 11 pm between the airport and the city center. The cost of the bus is 1,400 som per ride.
EXCHANGING MONEY IN UZBEKISTAN
The best place to exchange money in Uzbekistan is at (i) Airport and (ii) in any Bank. Do not exchange money from taxi drivers or any stranger in the street.
REGISTRATION WITH HOTEL
When you check in in your hotel or home stay, always ask them “you need hotel registration when you check out”. You will need it when you depart from Uzbekistan.

Samarkand: Two (2) days enough to cover main attractions
Bukhara: Two (2) days enough to cover main attractions
Khiva: Two (2) days enough to cover main attractions

TRANSPORT
You can travel between cities using train, bus, shared taxi or private taxi. I've found uzbek people and most tourists travel by train.

You can buy train ticket from Uzbek Railway website or you can download Uzbek Railway app from Google Play Store and buy ticket. I have downloaded Uzbek Railway app from Google Play Store, installed into my phone, used my credit card to buy all train tickets. The app is very easy to use, in English language, you can buy ticket using your Credit Card, you can select your own preferred seat and you can use soft copy train ticket. No need to print hard copy ticket. You need to show your passport and ticket to Ticket Checker before boarding into Train. This is also a fun way to connect with local people when you travel in public transport.

Памир 2014 - до Афганистана и обратно / Pamir 2014 - Afghanistan route
23 дня в пути, 9000 км по 5ти странам, из них 700 км по перевалам вдоль Афганистана и Китая, температуры от -10 до +40, высоты от -30м до 4650м.
Целые и невредимые вернулись своим ходом, всё получилось просто великолепно!

Часть пути ехали в компании группы Белорусов. Не доезжая оз. Каракуль (в Таджикистане) напротив Китайской границы, Юра перелетел через руль на 100 кмч - родился в рубашке и отделался всего лишь трещиной в ключице, и спустя неделю продолжил путь домой.
Пользуясь случаем, через дырку в заборе заехали в Китай. Побывали на афганском рынке, в сторонке энергичные молодые люди на свежих ML500 о чем-то договаривались. Переночевали при -10 на 4200м на Кыргызской границе в компании очень гостеприимных хорогцев, попробовали мясо яков. Дважды варили подрамник XR650, у DR650 были проблемы с подвесками и датчиком Хола. Успели попасть в песчаную бурю в пустыне.
