Stone of Setter, Neolithic standing stone in Eday island, Orkney islands

The Stone of Setter is a Neolithic standing stone located on the island of Eday, in Orkney, Scotland. It dates to the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age, around the 2nd millennium BC. Outside of the Stones of Stenness, this monument is the tallest monolith in Orkney. Historic Environment Scotland established the site as a scheduled monument in 1936.

Situated 25m above sea level, in the north-central area of the island of Eday in Orkney, Scotland, the Stone of Setter overlooks Calf Sound. It is located near several burial monuments: the Vinquoy, Huntersquoy and Braeside chambered cairns. The stone is on private property, but can be seen from the road.
The Stone of Setter is an extremely tall sandstone monolith of irregular shape. It dates to the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age, probably around 2nd millennium BC. It measures approximately 4.5 m in height, 2.1 m in width, and the stone varies in thickness from 0.9 m at the base to 0.35 m at the center. It is deeply weathered with heavy vertical lines and stands in its original placement. The monolith sits on the south edge of a circular platform 10 m in diameter, and 0.2 m in height. Outside of the Stones of Stenness, this monument is the tallest monolith in Orkney. Historic Environment Scotland established the site as a scheduled monument in 1936.

Woken by Angry Locals - Why Scotland HATES Campervans

Vanlife in Scotland is as good as it gets but the locals don't think so. Scotland is the only country we have had issues with angry locals and in this video we discuss why that is and if it's justified.

⭐ About Travel Beans:
Hello and welcome to our channel! We are Alex & Emma, a British couple who have been exploring the world together for over 10 years - from backpacking to vanlife:

2012/13: We both embarked on our own solo backpacking trips through Southeast Asia, where we would eventually meet at a hostel in the mountains of Thailand and begin traveling together. After a year and a half of backpacking around Southeast Asia & Australia, we returned home and to the corporate world!

2015: Travel Beans was born and we filmed our first videos on a road trip around Europe with friends! This was our biggest trip yet.. and you can go back and watch the entire adventure because we filmed ALL of it! This trip took us through Russia, Mongolia & China, on the longest railway journey in the world. Followed by highlights such as staying on a local island in the Maldives for a month, going on safari in Sri Lanka, couchsurfing & hitchhiking in Korea, seeing the snow monkeys in Japan, island hopping in the Philippines, trekking 60km through the centre of Myanmar, exploring the Indian Himalayas, and checking out some of the incredible US National Parks.

2016: Despite an unbelievably memorable year and a half of travels, which we were incredibly grateful to have had the privilege to experience.. we found ourselves in New York City, battling depression. At this point, we decided to go home and confront this problem head-on.

2017: After 6 tough months at home we decided to go away again, but this time with a goal in mind.. to turn travel into a lifestyle. We left the UK with just £500 in our bank account and a dream to make a continuous travel lifestyle happen! We both got online English teaching jobs to be able to fund our travels and to keep creating videos. We can't quite believe that our younger selves decided to take this plunge but we are so grateful they did as we are still on this journey today!

What now?
Over the years, we've discovered that we LOVE road trips and even decided to renovate our very own little VWT4 van into a campervan to be able to enjoy vanlife and spend more time on the road. We are now the proud owners of 2 awesome little campers - one based in the UK and one that we keep in the USA. You'll often find us using one of these vans to explore Europe and North America. If you enjoy this kind of content we'd recommend checking out our Italy Road Trip series, USA vanlife series and our Japan in a Tiny Van series as well as our UK vanlife content.

Our time spent overcoming depression has influenced our outlook on life dramatically! We are now traveling the world in search of what makes us happy. We love sharing the highs and lows of our trips through our videos and hope to spread a little positivity and light to all of the beautiful people who take the time to tune in and watch each week!

The South Africa Johannesburg Coloured Neighborhood you don't see ELDORADO PARK🇿🇦 (unbelievable 🙌)

Eldorado Park nicknamed Eldos is a coloured neighborhood in Johannesburg South Africa.Afrikaans is the language spoken here.
It's a feared coloured township. Many say it's dangerous here. It's said it harbours a lot of criminal activities, bad gangsters and all that. That's the only side it's known according to Media 🤷
But is this the only side of Eldorado Park?
Some things can be a little exaggerated but we here to find out.
Will take this walk in different directions, different streets, assumed scary areas and leave no stone unturned.
In the process of this walk I came across bad and good gangs and this happened..

Melilla - Where Spain Meets Africa (Travel Guide). Discover this unique city enclave.

Occupying 12 square kilometres of the North African coast - 6 hours sailing time from mainland Europe - Melilla is without doubt Spain's most unique city. Sadly its only appearances in the news tend to portray a city on the front-line of migration from sub-Saharan Africa. Yet that is not an accurate picture of a proud community where the languages of Spain and North Africa mix peacefully in the cafes and bars.

The city boasts centuries of history as well as a concentration of Modernist architecture second only to Barcelona. This short guide will take you on a tour of Melilla La Vieja (the fortress where the city began), through the parks and elegant streets, and finally to the heavily fortified border.

The film features an incredible display of drumming from Batu Cañada.

Where to travel 2022: The best destinations to go

Where to travel in 2022: It's safe to say most people didn't take their dream vacation in 2021. Here are some places to dream about for when the world becomes accessible again. First up: the twin islands of Antigua (pictured) and Barbuda.

Bissagos Islands: Off the coast of Guinea-Bissau, the Bissagos Islands are run by a matriarchal society where women possess all the power.

Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia: Visitors can immerse themselves in traditions of Cape Breton's Mi'kmaq -- a First Nations people who have lived in Canada's eastern Maritime region for over 10,000 years.

Chile: A long, thin strip between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes Mountains, Chile is a world leader in ecotourism and an outdoor adventurer's paradise.

Colombo: It's time to pay attention to Sri Lanka's underrated design destinations, including late architect Geoffrey Bawa's home, which is now a mini museum and guest house.

Dijon: The biggest city of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region is a glorious mishmash of timber-framed houses, magnificent 18th-century palaces and a soaring Gothic cathedral.

Disko Bay: Whales, colossal icebergs, a fast-moving glacier and a whole lot of dog sleds define Disko Bay, on Greenland's western coast.

Gabon National Parks: More than 10% of Gabon, on Central Africa's Atlantic coastline, is given over to its 13 national parks -- and they're all celebrating their 20th anniversaries in 2022.

Jordan: Years of regional unrest followed by the pandemic mean Petra -- once threatened by its tourism success -- is now crying out for crowds.

Lahti: Finland's eighth-largest city is packed with beautiful forests, parks and reserves with incredible hiking trails and lookout points.

Munga-Thirri-Simpson National Park: For those who've always wanted to experience a once-in-a-lifetime off-road challenge in Australia's Outback, the country's newest -- and now biggest -- national park awaits.

Naples: New archaeological sites are due to open in 2022 which, although under wraps for now, will shed new light on Greek and Roman Neapolis, as it was called back then.

Ollantaytambo: This well-preserved town along the route to Machu Picchu in Peru's Sacred Valley boasts in own impressive Inca ruins and has recently been named one of the world's Best Tourism Villages by the United Nations World Tourism Organization.

Orkney Islands: Off the most northerly tip of Scotland, you'll find the Orkney Islands, a breathtaking archipelago with cliffs and crags dotted with seabirds, seals and fascinating archaeological sites.

Oslo: June will see the opening of the new National Museum -- traditional and contemporary art, craft and design, making it the biggest art museum in the Nordic countries.

Palau: Every visitor to the island country must sign the Palau Pledge, a vow to behave responsibly while traveling and do one's part to care for the environment.

Penang: This Malaysian island in the Andaman Sea offers a wide mix of traditional Malay, Chinese and Indian dishes.

South Africa: If it's safe to visit in 2022, South Africa deserves to be near the top of anyone's wish list.

St Eustatius: The centerpiece of Statia, as it is known to locals, is Quill, a dormant volcano whose sloping sides make for excellent hikes -- as well as sweeping scenic views of this eight-square-mile pearl in the sea.

Tulsa: This Oklahoma city's big travel news of note in 2022 will be the opening of the Bob Dylan Center, scheduled for May 10.

Valencia: Home to a population of around 800,000, Valencia is Spain's third-largest city and it aims to be an emission-neutral destination by 2025.

Yellowstone National Park: In 2022, stunning Yellowstone will mark 150 years as a national park.
