Sighișoara is located in the historic region of Transylvania in Mureș County, Romania.
A well-preserved medieval fortified citadel Sighișoara is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
The small medieval fortified town, known as popular tourist destination, is the host for a Medieval Festival which takes place in the old citadel annually in July. The walled old town is very well preserved and is one of the few fortified towns in Europe that are still inhabited.
The medieval Citadel was built on top of a hill and the lower town lies in the valley of Târnava Mare River. The Clock Tower built in 1556 is the landmark of the town and houses a museum of history.
The Monastery of the Great Martyr Demetrios, located four kilometers south of the center of the town, was built starting with 1998 by Father Archimandrite Ghelasie together with a small number of disciples.
When Father Archimandrite Ghelasie Țepeș died, on the November 15th 2020, he was laid to rest near the Church of the Monastery, which he himself founded.

Arsenal Park - o parere sinceră
Dupa cum v-am obișnuit, va spun parerea mea sinceră despre locațiile pe care le vizitez, cu bune si cu rele. Arsenal Park din Orăștie este un parc specific pentru aventură dar pe mine nu m-a impresionat. Adica dupa cete am auzit de la alți despre acest loc ma așteptam sa fiu dat pe spate (la tel cum am pățit la Pamukkale). Adevărul e xa este o parte de pădure frumoasa cu cateva alei betonate bune pentru drumeție si mers cu bicicleta (se pot închiria la fața locului) si multe alte activități cum ar fi trasul cu arcul, coborât cu frânghia de pe un turn de apa si parcul de aventura printre copaci.
Ținând cont ca pentru fuecare activitate trebuie sa plătești, mi s-a părut cam mult sa platesc si intrare (30 ron/adult) in care nu era nimic inclus, doar accesul.
Daca va place sportul mai extrem, acest loc vă va plăcea. Dacă nu ..
