Omiš Town is located on the Dalmatian coast of the Adriatic Sea in Croatia, between Split and Makarska. It was founded at the mouth of the Cetina River, where it has cut through steep Omiška Dinara Mountain, overlooking the coast. The river has brought the sediment through millennia, the fine sand that is now the beach of Omiš. The river was a connection with the fertile plains of the interior. Mountains and the Cetina River still define Omiš, the town that has become a cultural and commercial centre in its own right over the centuries. Omiš city today is a hub for outdoor activities like rafting, canyoning, hiking, etc. Even if you stay in Omiš town the attractions abound, from narrow old streets packed with restaurants to lazy sunbathing and swimming on the beach. Omis Croatia (omis chorwacja or kroatien omis) has the most peculiar landscape and the epic zipline Omis has to offer is the best in the country, according to Croatians and tourists alike.
You will find many nice videos in German and Polish worth checking out. So you know… it’s Omis kroatien in German, Omis chorwacja in Polish, and Omis Croatie in French.
The Omis beach is pretty nice. I really explore that more in my 2nd video about Omis.
It’s not the greatest beach and there are nicer ones north and south of Omis beach. Omis weather was pretty good while I was visiting in mid-May. But being that it is surrounded by mountains, Omis weather becomes breezy at night.
Other things to consider in your visit is rafting in Omis and a nice Omis hotel. My favorite Omis hotel was Villa Dvor. It’s incredible as you see in the video.

And the last thing I want to say is... because everyone asks me: there is no problem being black in Omis, Croatia. I have experienced ZERO racism in Croatia. The Balkans is the most friendly place I have ever traveled to and a traveler being black in Omis, Croatia is not an issue AT ALL.
