I'm walking around downtown Vancouver Canada. It's around 4:30 pm on a Thursday and I've just...

watched a film by Francis Ford Coppola at VIFF ( -- seats are getting kind of squeaky). Visually fascinating but the story was a bit over my head. I'm not sure if I have the patience to watch this again but I'm glad I went to see it. I read a few reviews to figure out the story and to be honest... I can't remember much of it... something to do with an architect that's trying to make utopia (?) and a mayor who's against him... and then there's some slutty journalist who has to try to screw some guy for some reason. And then, the mayor's daughter and the architect fall in love and make a baby... he gets shot in the face but then his face is fine after this... what a disorganized mess.

After that, I decided to walk around downtown Vancouver with a GoPro camera to see how it manages in low light. Could be worse... and could be better but I should be happy it works and films. Not too much happening in downtown Vancouver... did notice an arrest and I'm glad the police are around to do these kind of things. As the cost of living skyrockets in Canada, the number of homeless/struggling people increase which leads to a lot more petty crime and... major crime.

By the way, does anyone know what music I'm playing? I'm guessing less than 1% of society would know who this composer is. I'll give you a hint. It's one of Britain's greatest classical period composers.

I was going to write a bit more but I think I'll just eat my miso soup (tofu, carrots, split peas and onions) and try to get away from social media.

10. Cameron Lake & Cathedral Grove
These are located near each other in central Vancouver Island, sitting between Parksville and Port Alberni. Cameron lake is a tranquil spot on the island with many other natural attractions in the area. Witness the old-growth giant trees at Cathedral Grove and more.

9. Goldstream Provincial Park
Located right outside of Victoria, Goldstream Provincial Park is a great spot for hiking, camping and connecting with nature. Explore the beautiful “Niagara” waterfall or do a challenging hike to the neighboring peak of Mount Finlayson.
