Dating Mexican women has been an interesting experience, to say the least.

In this video I’m going to tell you what it has been like dating in Mexico - and that includes both dating Mexicans and dating other expats like myself.

I’ll also be discussing cultural differences and how I’ve found dating Mexican girls to be different from dating American girls.

I moved to Mexico over 4 years ago but for most of that time I’ve been in a relationship with an American girl. However, for about the past year I’ve been single and it has allowed me to see a very different side of life in Mexico.

These are the problems and perks that come with dating in Mexico and dating Mexican women.

New Mexico's parks are less crowded many other western parks but still have stunning scenery. On this trip we drive from South to North. Starting by exploring 3 of the least visited National Parks in the country- White Sands, Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mts..

In Alamogordo we visit New Mexico's Space History Museum and see rockets tested at the nearby missile range.

We go to one of my favorite places- 3 Rivers Petroglyphs site to hike among 20,000 ancient rock carvings and meet a blind lady in her 70 who enjoys hiking!

On the road north we go to the UFO museum in Roswell. And then walk on a Lava Field at the Valley of Fires BLM camping area, before visiting the Trinity Site.

In Albuquerque we visit the 4 sites of Petroglyph Monument including a volcano field! While looking at a map I saw a marker for Coronado State Park, so we make an unscheduled stop to see the remains an old adobe village on the Rio Grande where Spanish Conquistador Coronado once stayed- until the battle.

We make a quick stop at a stone church built in 1621. On our way to Super Volcano- or at least its remains-- Valles Caldera.

The highlight of the northern part of the trip is the cliff dwellings at Bandelier National Monument. We visit the cliff houses and see the nearby stone village.

We make a quick stop in Santa Fe and another in Taos before flying over the spectacular Rio Grande Gorge Bridge before our final stop on top of a cinder cone volcano and Capulin Volcano National Monument.

Crossing the border from San Diego to Tijuana Mexico at the San Ysidro and then back to the USA can take a very long time. This was my first trip in a very long time and unless you have a sentri pass, enhanced driver's license, or global entry be prepared to wait in a very long line.

Check the wait time but take it with a grain of salt:

Visiting Nogales, Arizona [No Flying] (LRT2020 Part 35)

In this episode, I bum around the lovely little border town of Nogales, Arizona.

Liberty—New Beginnings

Nogales -A Border City Split in Two

On this episode of FORGOTTEN WORLD we visit NOGALES, Mexico -a quiet little city straddling the Mexican-American border. But there is an older story here, one of openness and division. Nogales started as a railroad outpost in the 1880s. In those days, cross border relations were friendly, so much so, that there was no barrier dividing the city, just a few stone pillars to marked the boundary line through town. Now the town is literally cut-in-half by an impassable border barrier that runs for miles in either direction out of the city limits.

✅ VIDEO DESCRIPTION
How safe is it to cross the border into Mexico for cheap dental work, prescriptions and eyeglasses? Liz crosses the border SIX times to find out.

???????? GENERAL INFO ABOUT CROSSING THE BORDER
Yes, you need a passport. Real ID will not get you back into the US.

Five states (currently) offer Enhanced Drivers Licenses: Michigan, Minnesota, Vermont, New York and Washington. You can travel to Mexico without a passport if you have the Enhanced Drivers License.

Info about Enhanced Drivers Licenses:

No guns are allowed into Mexico.

If you bring your dog, you will need proof of current rabies vaccine and a current health certificate.

Before you go, check with your phone plan to ensure your cell phone will work in Mexico.

Try to arrive early and on a weekday to beat the crowds.

The walk across the border is short. Bring with you your prescription bottles so the clerks can match them, a bottle of water --- and your passport. Also, you will need cash or credit cards.

LOS ALGODONES (new Yuma Arizona)
I parked in the US and walked across the border.

From Interstate 8, take Exit 166 south. You will drive about 1.75 miles to the parking lot. The parking lot is easy to miss. Watch for the green “Last U Turn USA 900 Feet” and turn before that sign. Once you make the turn you will see you are in the QUECHAN PARKING LOT.

You will need $6 cash to park, and maybe more if you are in a camper. The parking lot is big rig friendly, easy to get in and out.

Of each of the 6 times I crossed NO ONE was in attendance on the Mexico side to check us. This means if you forget your passport you will not have an easy time getting back out!

Los Algodones is supposed to be on Pacific Time (California Time) but the border shops all follow Yuma Time (Mountain Time).

NOGALES (near Tucson)
Take I-19 South to the Burger King on the US side, 47 N Sonoita Ave in Nogales AZ. Parking is just $5 all day.

Walk through the $2 an hour lots across the street, cross the next street and then cross the border into Mexico.

NOGALES ARIZONA

NOGALES ARIZONA is located on the US and Mexican border. It is a city in Santa Cruz County, Arizona. The population was 20,837 at the 2010 census and estimated 20,103 in 2019. Nogales forms part of the larger Tucson–Nogales combined statistical area, with a total population of 1,027,683 as of the 2010 Census. The city is the county seat of Santa Cruz County. Due to its location on the border and its major ports of entry, Nogales funnels an estimated $30 billion worth of international trade into Arizona and the United States, per year, in fresh produce and manufactured goods from Mexico and the world through the deep seaport in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico. This trade helps to support tens of thousands of jobs and the overall economies in Ambos Nogales and throughout the American state of Arizona and the Mexican state of Sonora.
The town is named for the black walnut trees which once grew abundantly in the mountain pass between the cities of Nogales, Arizona, and Nogales, Sonora, and can still be found around the town. The economy of Nogales is heavily dependent on the cross-border trade through its Ports of Entry by produce distributors and American-based manufacturing plants in Nogales, Sonora and throughout the rest of the Mexican states of Sonora and Sinaloa.
The median income for a household in the city was $28,044, and the median income for a family was $24,637. Males had a median income of $24,636 versus $18,403 for females. The per capita income for the city was $14,440. About 30.8% of families and 32.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 41.2% of those under age 18 and 32.9% of those age 65 or over.
