✅ Welcome to A.A. Augustine Media:
A. A. Augustine's Media Co. is, was and always will be a small, fiercely independent, social media free media company that was initially, only created to produced public and commercial kids television shows along with it's peripheral products including the very popular book, DVD and handmade doll series featuring Sequoia The Littlest Bigfoot.
But after spending15 years traveling through hundreds of small towns in southern New England while I was recording and producing bands for my indie record label and then, almost 5 years later, through literally, all of Northern California selling regional Mom & Pop sponsorships for the kids' TV shows as well as opening up new retail accounts for our products, it became all too clear to me just how much I cared about small towns and small-town America.

Small Town, NY episodes can be seen between the shows on PBS on stations all across the state of NY, here on YouTube, smalltownny.com & on all major social media platforms!

SMALL TOWN NY:
Fresh off the hot-heels of the pandemic and my initial PBS travel show, Discovering WNY, Small Town NY is my second PBS series that finds me exploring small towns throughout the entire state.
And while you'll still find the more popular destinations on the show, I'll mostly be digg'n deep and Discovering the lesser-known and off-the-beaten-path small towns that I believe, truly deserve a visit or two.

Here on my YouTube channel you'll also be able to see all the episodes from my 4 older TV shows:

DISCOVERING WNY:
The first version of the show was an interstitial (between the shows) PBS series that primarily featured small WNY towns, while the older show was a half-hour, small business profile series featuring local Mom & Pop Shops on 4 WNY commercial stations.

SUPER KIDS SHOW:
These are my three retro-style, 1950s-1970s influenced shows kids TV series that were eventually combined into one awesome show called The Kids Super Show that continued until 2017 when I began producing regional travel shows.

15 Best Things to do in Minneapolis & St. Paul (Twin Cities)

SUBSCRIBE ► Looking for things to do in Minneapolis and Saint Paul? As a local for nearly my entire life, I couldn't wait to give you a tour of my hometown so you can see and experience the best things that the Twin Cities have to offer.

----TWIN CITIES TRAVEL ESSENTIALS-----
Best Places to Stay in Twin Cities:

Best Tours in Twin Cities:
Search for Cheap Flights to Minnesota:

Minneapolis and Saint Paul are some of the two best cities in America. They're also home to some of the most amazing things to do, see, eat, drink and experience. In this video, I give you 15 must-do activities that will help you get started exploring these fantastic places!

Minneapolis and Saint Paul are two cities that are located in the state of Minnesota. They are located on opposite banks of the Mississippi River just north of its confluence with the Minnesota River, which forms the border between the states of Minnesota and Wisconsin at this point. The Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area consists of over 16 cities in Minnesota with a population of 3.6 million people.

Unlike most Twin Cities, Minneapolis (MPLS) is slightly larger by population than Saint Paul, though today it is not as true as it was for most of the 20th Century. Saint Paul has won national acclaim for its beauty and livability.

The two cities have very different histories and they blend beautifully today. Although it's hard to say which is the better of the two, I'm referring to Minneapolis as a much more boring place than Saint Paul (in terms of activities and things to do).

Minneapolis has a lot of fun things for you to do, like the Mill City Museum or the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, in which you can immerse yourself in flour and the history of Minneapolis. Or visit the Science Museum of Minnesota for over 300 interactive exhibits covering science, art, history, and nature in Saint Paul.

Springfield - state capital of Illinois. | 4K drone footage

Springfield is the state capital of Illinois. Downtown, the interior of Illinois State Capitol's large dome is decorated with stained glass and statues of historical figures. With a total height of 361 feet (110 m), the Illinois capitol is the tallest non-skyscraper capitol, even exceeding the height of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.
The 1904 Dana-Thomas House was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum traces the life of the 16th U.S. president. Lincoln's restored home is nearby.

U.S. Route 11 (US 11) is a key north-south highway stretching 1,645 miles from New Orleans, Louisiana, to the Canadian border at Rouses Point, New York. Established in 1926, the route retains much of its original path, passing through ten states and offering a scenic alternative to the faster interstates. It runs southwest to northeast, often paralleling I-81.

Louisiana: US 11 begins in the Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge in New Orleans, crossing Lake Pontchartrain on the Maestri Bridge, built in 1928. After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the bridge was the only eastern route into New Orleans. US 11 then parallels I-10 and I-59 before entering Mississippi.

Mississippi: In Mississippi, US 11 runs alongside I-59 through towns like Picayune, Poplarville, Hattiesburg, and Laurel. It serves as a vital regional route, providing access to local businesses, scenic areas, and historical sites. In Hattiesburg, US 11 passes the University of Southern Mississippi, and in Laurel, it moves through a historic downtown before crossing into Alabama at Meridian.

Alabama: US 11 parallels I-59 through Alabama, passing through Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, Gadsden, and Fort Payne. In Tuscaloosa, the highway runs near the University of Alabama and in Birmingham, it passes through historic neighborhoods, offering a glimpse of the state's industrial past. The route crosses into Georgia after Fort Payne.

Georgia: The highway briefly enters Georgia, skirting the northwest corner near Lookout Mountain, with views of the Appalachian foothills before continuing into Tennessee.

Tennessee: In Tennessee, US 11 travels through Chattanooga, following I-75 to Knoxville, where it splits into US 11E and US 11W. US 11E runs northeast through Greeneville, Johnson City, and Bristol, while US 11W passes through Kingsport, meeting US 11E near the Virginia state line.

Virginia: In Virginia, US 11 runs through the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah Valley, connecting towns like Abingdon, Wytheville, Roanoke, and Harrisonburg. The highway follows the Great Wagon Road, an important colonial route, and runs parallel to I-81 through scenic landscapes, historic towns, and Civil War sites.

West Virginia: Entering West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle, US 11 travels through Ridgeway, Bunker Hill, Inwood, and Martinsburg. It runs parallel to I-81 and serves as a main road for these communities, offering a quieter alternative to the interstate.

Maryland: US 11 covers a short 12.83-mile stretch in Maryland, connecting Williamsport, Hagerstown, and Maugansville. It runs parallel to I-81, serving local communities and providing access to historical sites like the C&O Canal National Historical Park in Williamsport.

Pennsylvania: In Pennsylvania, US 11 enters near Greencastle, following I-81 through Chambersburg and Shippensburg. North of Carlisle, the highway passes the Miracle Mile, known for its traveler services. In Harrisburg, US 11 merges with US 15 and parallels the Susquehanna River, continuing through Danville, Bloomsburg, Wilkes-Barre, and Scranton before reaching New York.

New York: In New York, US 11 follows the Susquehanna River’s eastern edge from the Pennsylvania border to Binghamton, then continues through Cortland, Syracuse, Watertown, and Canton. The highway skirts the edge of the Adirondack Park, moving through rural landscapes before ending at the Canadian border in Rouses Point.

US 11 offers a unique travel experience, showcasing the history, culture, and natural beauty of the eastern United States. Unlike interstates, US 11 takes travelers directly through small towns and communities, preserving its original character while providing a scenic, slower-paced alternative to faster highways.
