When visiting Historic Nelsonville, Ohio - you will notice the large Cross Cross erected on the hill over looking scenic Nelsonville. If you wish to visit the Cross, just ask anyone for directions and they will be happy to direct you up to a beautiful, memorable and Religious place.

My Thanks

This Nelsonville Cross Park, a Memorial to my dear beloved and wonderful wife Betty, has become a reality because of the wisdom and untiring efforts of the Rev. John Lloyd Evans, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church.

The land for this nondenominational inspirational park was donated by Mrs. Emily Sharp Hennessey, in memory of her father and mother, Mr. And Mrs. Edward B. Sharp, who beautified this hillside with lovely pines.

Hocking Valley Scenic Railway in Nelsonville Ohio (HVSR)

We took the historic East Logan train which runs the entire length of the track. It operates round-trip from the Nelsonville Depot to East Logan, lasting approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. The ride includes a 30-minute stop at the recreated 1800's pioneer village Robbins Crossing on the campus of Hocking College. Robbins Crossing features a blacksmith shop, general store, and several other 19th Century crafts and trades. More on Robbins Crossings can be found on that video.
