Here’s a brief overview of the content in this video (which can be used as a travel guide):
We begin this journey in Jakarta, the nation’s capital, and one of Asia’s largest cities. The city can feel overwhelming at first sight, but there are some great areas to visit, including museums, historic neighborhoods, and modern shopping malls.
After Jakarta, we travel to Yogyakarta, the cultural heartland of Java. It’s a much more relaxed place to walk around, and provides a more traditional perspective of Indonesia, with music performances (gamelan songs) and shadow puppet theatre. I also visit local farmers in the countryside around the city. Most are growing rice in green paddy fields, and are happy to show you around.
Around Yogyakarta you will find two of Indonesia’s most stunning temples. Borobudur is a Buddhist temple, and easily one of the most impressive historic structures in Asia. Prambanan is of Hindu origin, and its architecture is very different from Borobudur.
Mount Bromo is arguably one of Indonesia’s most famous volcanoes, and it’s actually possible to get up on the ridge, to get a peek into its crater. The next destination is Pangandaran, a peaceful seaside town with some beautiful beaches and powerful waves, and a popular holiday destination.
Semarang is a busy city with some beautiful historic architecture, including the church which was built in Dutch colonial times. The Christian minority still uses this church. After Semarang, we travel to Kawah Ijen, a surreal volcanic crater where miners are collecting blocks of sulfur. In some moments, this place felt apocalyptic.
In the fishing port of Banyuwangi (also the gateway to Bali) you will find some spectacular fishing boats, with bright colors and classic design. The town’s atmosphere is friendly, and it’s nice to walk around visiting some of the markets. The region around Banyuwangi is well suited for agriculture, and is used for cacao, rubber, and coffee production.
In the lush green mountains around Wonosobo, you will find some beautiful tea plantations, that are open to visit. We finish the journey in Surabaya, an important business and trading hub in Indonesia. It might not boast a lot of ‘tourist attractions’, but it’s a nice place to visit. The main mosque is a highlight, where the local Muslim population comes to pray. It provides an interesting view into the main religion in Indonesia, Islam. On Fridays, this area turns into an ‘open air restaurant’, with street food sellers offering their finest dishes.

10 Best Places to Visit in Malaysia - Travel Video

If countries were awarded for diversity, Malaysia would top first place. Not only is Malaysia a melting pot of ethnic cultures, but it is also a blend of many different customs, cuisines and religions all coexisting peacefully together. From large island groups to mountains and tropical rainforest, the country’s geography is every bit as diverse. What’s more, Malaysia is a unique country in that is divided into two main landmasses. West Malaysia occupies the southern half of a peninsula shared with Thailand, while East Malaysia is situated on the Borneo island. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in Malaysia:

5 Asian countries that Indians can travel to right now! Visa free, no quarantine, for solo travel!
If you’re making plans to travel abroad, here are 5 Asian countries that are relatively easy to travel to and that too solo!
☑️ Thailand: Has a 1 day quarantine that ends after you test negative, you can opt for a visa on arrival or e-visa and it’s a pretty solo travel friendly destination!
☑️ Sri Lanka: You don’t need to quarantine if you are fully vaccinated. You don’t need to present a negative report either in such cases. The visa process is entirely online or can plan it as a solo workation destination as well!
☑️ Turkey: You need a negative report within 72 hours of travelling. The visa process is online and can be applied for easily. The cost of Turkish e-visa is $48.
☑️ Cambodia: Similar travel requirements as Sri Lanka and Turkey with regards to the quarantine period. The visa is usually processed upon arrival or can be obtained online. The tourist visa is valid for 1 month and it’s costs $20
☑️ Indonesia: Bali is an island in Indonesia which was my first ever solo destination! No visa is required for Indian tourists if you’re visiting for lesser than 30 days. The quarantine period has been slashed to 1 day if you’re a fully vaccinated traveller, as opposed to 7 days earlier! But that is only true if you’re landing in Bali.
Hope this post helps you in travelling abroad, in the coming months! I had shot this video originally for YT shorts, but if you do like it, follow me here and save this video. 😊

My 7 Favorite Countries in Asia (#1 Continent)

Asia has been my home since 2013 when I moved to South Korea to teach English. Over the last 8 years, I've lived in Vietnam, the Philippines and currently Thailand -- and I've been to every country on the beautiful continent of Asia.
Each culture in Asia is very unique -- from religions to traditions, nature, history, cuisines and rituals -- and it provides endless opportunities to learn and discover. But above anything else, THE PEOPLE of Asia are the most hospitable and welcoming as they come.
Admittedly, it has been very hard to choose only 7 of my favorite Asian countries to feature in this video (because I truly love every place for a different reason) -- but when it all comes down to it, these would be my 7 favorite countries on this amazing place called Asia!
THE PHILIPPINES, SOUTH KOREA, SINGAPORE, VIETNAM, NEPAL, INDONESIA, JAPAN
What would be your top 7 in Asia? Why? Please comment below and let's get the discussion started!
PS - I kept this video limited to East/South/Southeast Asian countries. While the Middle East and West/Central Asia are technically Asian countries, I consider them very culturally different. Iran and Tajikistan would be on this list if it was all of Asia!

Top 10 Places to Visit in India - Travel Video (Documentary)
Welcome to India, one of the world’s most beautiful and diverse travel destinations. From the bustling streets of Mumbai and Kolkata, to historic forts in Rajasthan. From vibrant bazaars in Delhi to quiet villages in Himachal Pradesh and Odisha. Steeped in history and culture, while confidently embracing the 21st century, India is a country that can be explored for years, and will surprise you at every corner.

Here’s a brief overview of the content in this video:
We begin this journey in Amritsar, and more specifically in the mesmerizing Golden Temple. Located in the spiritual heartland of the Sikh community, this is one of India’s most famous icons. The nearby kitchen is also very interesting to visit, and don’t miss the Wagah border ceremony, where soldiers from both India and Pakistan perform an entertaining border closing show.
Rajasthan is a beautiful province that can be explored for weeks, with stunning hilltop forts and royal palaces, in places like Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, and Jaipur. The bazaars and street markets, where many people do their (grocery) shopping, are also a joy to explore. After Rajasthan, we travel to Agra, to visit India’s tourism symbol, the awe-inspiring Taj Mahal.
Mumbai is one of India’s most dynamic and interesting cities. Often considered as the commercial capital of the country, the city bursts with energy and creativity. While there are many impressive buildings to admire (mosques, temples, colonial architecture), it’s the city’s atmosphere that really draws tourists and travelers to Mumbai.
Tamil Nadu is a distinctly different province from many others places in India, and is characterized by charming coastal villages, pilgrimage sites, and beautiful Hindu temples. The South Indian food is also delicious, and shouldn’t be missed. We travel onwards to Kolkata, thought of as a intellectual and cultural powerhouse. It’s a lively city, with stunning architecture, beautiful (flower) markets, and also modern shopping malls. Other places to visit are the British colonial Victoria Memorial, the horse racing tracks, and many parks where people play cricket all day long.
Dharamsala (or McLeod Ganj) is the seat of the Tibetan government in exile, and almost feels like a Little Tibet. This is where the Dalai Lama lives, and many monks and pilgrims regularly visit. Hyderabad, in central India, is an IT hub like Bangalore, and provides a great insight in the country’s growing digital economy.
Delhi is the political capital, and really a destination in itself. It’s a major business and transport hub and attracts people from all over India to work, study, and live. We finish this journey in Odisha province, an often overlooked region that boasts some of India’s most beautiful temple complexes, a welcoming attitude, and a relaxed beach vibe.
21 Best Places to Visit in Southeast Asia - Travel Video
Check out all the places seen in this video:
Southeast Asia is a group of diverse countries between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean, featuring indigenous cultures influenced by Indian, Chinese and Western culture. It has long been a favorite corner of the world for globe-tramping backpackers, known for its perfect beaches, tasty cuisine and low prices. The region represents a totally different culture for Western travelers. Instead of cathedrals, they’ll find temples. Instead of cold temperatures in the winter, they’ll be bathed in a tropical climate. They may find simple accommodations in remote fishing villages but also luxurious hotels in the cities and on the islands. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in Southeast Asia:
