HEAVENLY CITY - Nakhon Sawan - Origin of the Chao Phraya river - THAILAND
Welcome to Nakhon Sawan, a city 240 km north of Bangkok.
Here the Ping and the Nan river come together to form the Chao Phraya river.
The monument is called Pasan and you can visit it free of charge.
The city park is called Paradise Park and is a wonderfull place to hang out after working hours.
We went to April's Brasseries and to the Analog Bar for a drink and some food. Both are located next to park.
We enjoyed this city very much and will definitely return in the future!

ริมทางหลวงสายพหลโยธิน ช่วงนครสวรรค์-กำแพงเพชร ในท้องที่ตำบลบ้านแดน อำเภอบรรพตพิสัย ระยะทางจากตัวจังหวัดประมาณ 45 กิโลเมตร
ภูเขาหินปูนรูปทรงแปลกตาที่มองเห็นมาแต่ไกลทุกครั้งเวลาสัญจรผ่านไปมาบนถนนพหลโยธินช่วงรอยต่อระหว่างจังหวัดนครสวรรค์กับกำแพงเพชร ที่เรียกกันว่าเขาหน่อ-เขาแก้วแห่งนี้ เป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่น่าสนใจอีกแห่งหนึ่ง ของนครสวรรค์
เริ่มจากเขาหน่อ ซึ่งเป็นสถานที่ที่มีความสำคัญทางประวัติศาสตร์เมื่อพระเจ้าอยู่หัวรัชกาลที่ 5 เคยเสด็จประพาส โดยเสด็จภาคเหนือทางชลมารค ผ่านแม่น้ำปิง เมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2449 และต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2452 ได้พระราชทานสิ่งของให้แก่หลวงพ่อแหยม วัดบ้านแดน เขาหน่อแห่งนี้แบ่งออกได้เป็น 2 ส่วนด้วยกัน ได้แก่ - เขานางพันธุรัต ซึ่งเป็นเขาลูกเล็กที่คุณสามารถเดินขึ้นไป ชมวิวบนยอดเขา ผ่านบันได 60 ขั้น
ซึ่งบริเวณลานชมวิวจากเขานางพันธุรัตแห่งนี้ จะพบถ้ำขนาดเล็กแห่งหนึ่ง ด้านหน้า ประดิษฐานพระพุทธรูปนอนองค์ใหญ่ และมีพระพุทธรูปองค์เล็กอีก 4 องค์วางอยู่เคียงกัน ชาวบ้านเชื่อกันว่าถ้ำแห่งนี้คือ ถ้ำพญานาค หากต้องการเดินเข้าไปชมนักท่องเที่ยวต้องนำไฟฉายติดตัวไปด้วย ภายในถ้ำค่อนช้างชื้นและเป็นทางตัน ไม่สามารถเดินทะลุออกไปได้ ต้องเดินกลับมาทางเดิม
เขาพระพุทธบาทหรือเขาลูกใหญ่ ที่บริเวณหน้าเขาจะมีโรงเรียนร้างเป็นจุดสังเกต ที่นี่อยู่ห่างจากเขานางพันธุรัตราว ๆ 300 เมตร ด้านบนเป็นที่ประดิษฐานรอยพระพุทธบาทและเจดีย์เก่าแก่อายุประมาณ 400 ปีซึ่งคาดว่าสร้างขึ้นสมัยอยุธยาตอนปลาย และมีระฆังที่นำไปแขวนใหม่ประมาณ 20 ใบ การเดินขึ้นสู่ยอดเขาเพื่อไปนมัสการรอยพระพุทธบาทจำลองต้องเดินไปตามบันได 700 ขั้น และต้องปีนบันไดลิงอีก 5 ช่วง

Night Market - Nakhon Prathom Thailand 2022 - Street Food and More
One of the most important places for Buddhists in Thailand can be found in Nakhon Pathom, one of the oldest cities in Thailand.
The Phra Pathom chedi, which means “Holy chedi of the beginning” is regarded the oldest Buddhist structure in Thailand. The very impressive chedi (stupa) with its gold roof visible from far away is with its 120 meters height the largest Buddhist chedi in the world.
From November 5th through the 13th the Chedi hosts a huge night market to celebrate 107 years of the standing Buddha next to the Chedi. Vendors offer everything you could possibly want. If you are a Thai food lover this is a place you would want to visit.

Wat Kiriwong is located on the Dao-wa-dung hill in Amphoe Muang, Nakhon Sawan province. It has a sacred golden pagoda-Prajulamanee .
There are four floors inside. The first floor is for worshiping the Buddha. The second floor has statues of famous monks, the Buddha's footprints and amulet for sale also. On the third floor, there are important Buddha image in Thailand such as the emerald Buddha. A zone for making merit is on this floor too. On the highest floor, There are stunning wall paintings about the life of Buddha

Nakhon Sawan Thailand Gateway To The North The Heavenly City
Nakhon Sawan city and province is one of my favorite locations to visit in north central Thailand and in my opinion is superior to many of the over rated famous tourist traps like Chiang Mai city farther north. Oddly totally ignored and forgotten by many guide books and travel channels.
Some of the best and cheapest Thai food found anywhere in Thailand prices range between twenty to fifty baht can be found here in numerous locations throughout the city.
Transportation throughout the city by Songthaew from 6am to 5pm is at a set rate of 10 baht no so having to deal with dodgy and corrupt transport that is so common in many tourist areas. Just hand the driver 10 baht once you arrive at your location.
If you are looking for your typical tourist trap party town with foreign food, massage shops, girly bars and motorcycle rentals you will likely find this city and province very boring. I suggest you head directly to your nearest tourist slum.

Ayutthaya | Nakhon Sawan | Kamphaeng Phet | Amazing Thailand to see Family & Friends #thailand
Today we continued our travels to Kampaeng Phet but first we stopped in Ayutthaya at a restaurant called Pinto to catch up with our friends for a surprise birthday lunch. This is one of our favorite restaurant's in the area to enjoy some authentic Thai food. After seeing our friends we travelled through Ang Thong and Ayutthaya and we were on our way to see our family in Kampaeng Phet. We are so excited to see them as we have not been able travel to due pandemic as we all know travels were restricted for the last couple of years. While we are in Kampaeng Phet we are spending time with our family at there home and have some amazing times together. We have been to the beautiful waterfall called Khlong Lan Waterfall and then to Khao no -Khao kaeo ( Monkey Temple) in Nakhon Sawan we are having a fun day with heaps of monkeys and we also bought some bananas for them to eat it cost 200 baht. After having some fun we went to a beautiful temple called Wat Sri Uthumporn in Nakhon Sawan this was truly an amazing temple with so many artifacts and statues and beautiful workmanship . This was one of my favorite temple complex in Thailand and it’s located in the Nakhon Sawan region in a small village off highway 1. Absolutely beautiful ornate temple that looks like a jewel box. They also have 4 solid jade Buddha’s that are about 4 feet tall. Totally worth the drive and the bonus is you will practically have the place all to yourself. Not many know of this temple and the location is remote. Worth stopping by if you are driving north to Chaing Mai. There is also a mummified monk by the name of Lunang Pho Joi which is truly remarkable and a wonderful place of worship.
