Ang San Juan ay tinuturing na sentro ng turismo ng probinsya. Halos lahat ng mga tourism facilities ay matatagpuan dito. Ito rin ang preferred na pag-stay-an ng karamihan sa mga turista, lalo na sa mga wave riders, beach lovers, at foodies!
Mga four to five hours lang ang layo from Manila ng San Juan, depende sa traffic condition o kaya naman sa type ng bus na sasakyan niyo kung magko-commute kayo. Bago mag-pandemic, may mga buses from Manila na bumibiyahe nang direkta sa San Juan; ang iba naman ay dumadaan dito papunta sa northern towns ng La Union o kaya naman ay sa Abra at sa Ilocos Sur at Norte.
