Do NOT MISS These 5 Interesting Places To Visit In 🇲🇹 MALTA
When I think back to Malta I reminisce about cliff walks, coves and international food options to suit all palates. For such a small cluster of islands of just over 300 square kilometres, strung out in the middle of the med, it's a wonder how there is so much choice. Perhaps it's owing to the civilisations that have left their mark on the islands over the centuries.
This video runs you through 5 of the most memorable places I witnessed during my journey. It covers land from the north of Malta in the Island of Gozo to the far south at Blue Grotto. There are scores of other places that I would have liked to add but have included at least some notable mentions at the end of this video.
I've also attached some useful links to the places I visited:
Popeye Village
Seashell Dive Centre

Begin your journey in Victoria, the capital city of Gozo. Explore the Cittadella, a fortified city with stunning views of the island. Wander through the narrow streets, visit the Cathedral of the Assumption, and explore the museums housed within the citadel’s walls.
Visit the Ġgantija Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the oldest free-standing structures in the world. These megalithic temples date back over 5,500 years and offer a fascinating glimpse into Malta’s prehistoric past.
Relax at Ramla Bay, Gozo’s most famous beach. Known for its striking red sand and clear turquoise waters, Ramla Bay is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying the natural beauty of the island. Don’t miss the nearby Calypso Cave, said to be the legendary home of the nymph Calypso from Homer’s Odyssey.
Discover the Azure Window’s successor at Dwejra Bay. While the iconic Azure Window collapsed in 2017, the area still offers breathtaking natural beauty, including the Inland Sea and the Blue Hole, a popular spot for diving and snorkeling.
Explore the Ta’ Pinu Basilica, a stunning church and important pilgrimage site located in the countryside. Admire the beautiful architecture and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, with panoramic views of the Gozitan landscape.
Take a boat trip to the Blue Lagoon on the nearby island of Comino. Known for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life, the Blue Lagoon is a perfect spot for swimming, snorkeling, and soaking up the sun. Boat tours to Comino are easily accessible from Gozo.
Visit the Xwejni Salt Pans, located along the northern coast of Gozo. These centuries-old salt pans are still used for salt production today. Walk along the coast to see the unique geometric patterns and learn about the traditional salt-harvesting process.
Explore the charming village of Xagħra, home to the Ġgantija Temples and other historic sites. Visit the Xagħra Stone Circle, an ancient burial site, and the Ninu’s Cave and Xerri’s Grotto, both featuring impressive underground formations.
Discover Gozo’s rich history at the Gozo Museum of Archaeology, located in Victoria’s Cittadella. The museum showcases artifacts from Gozo’s prehistoric, classical, and medieval periods, offering insights into the island’s past.
Enjoy a relaxing day at San Blas Bay, a secluded beach known for its golden-red sand and clear waters. The beach is less crowded than Ramla Bay and offers a peaceful escape surrounded by nature.

WHAT TO DO IN MALTA in 60 seconds
Check out our website: 60seconds.travel
Arne and Tim spent one Week in Malta in Spring 2016. Pretty much the best time to be around: Not too hot and a good opportunity to escape the from the temperatures in central Europe that you get in Months like March or April.
Our recommendations in order of appearance:
00:06 Malta’s capital Valletta is best explored April-June or September/October, when the temperatures are moderate, crowds are fewer and prices lower.
00:08 The Dingli Cliffs (Siggiewi) are situated at the southwestern coast nearby the small village Dingli and are best reached by car or a scooter.
00:10 St. Peter’s Pool (Delimara). To reach the hidden swimming spot in the southeast of the island, head to Marsaxlokk and continue towards Delimara Lighthouse.
00:14 Numerous diving companies operate on the island. One of the most renowned is Dive Systems Malta. Dive schools charge 70-90 Euros for a package of accompanied dives.

Visiting Nadur, one of the most beautiful cities in Gozo Island, Malta | 4K Travel Vlog
In-Nadur is located in the eastern part of Gozo Island and it is built on a plateau. The word Nadur is derived from the Arabic word nadara, which means lookout. Nadur is one of the main towns in Gozo, Malta, with a population of around 4,000 people.
The town is known as the second city and it is very well conserved. You can spend a few hours lost on the streets. The St. Peter & St. Paul Basilica has a baroque architecture and it is located in the main square of the city, which looks like an italian piazza.
Stay tuned because we will post more travel videos.
