Chiang Mai was founded in 1296 and it's the capital of Chiang Mai Province in northern Thailand. The name means New City in Thai. That's because back then it became the new capital of the Lan Na kingdom (an ancient kingdom that existed in the area). The city was also very important historically. It's strategically located on the Ping River (a major tributary of the Chao Phraya River), and close to major trading routes.

Xiangkhouang (tiếng Lào: ຊຽງຂວາງ, nghĩa là Thành phố phía chân trời) là một tỉnh của Lào, nắm trên Cao nguyên Xiangkhouang, thuộc khu vực đông bắc của quốc gia. Trước đây là thủ phủ của Muang Phuan (Muang Phouan/Xieng Khouang), tỉnh lị hiện nay của tỉnh là Phonsavan.
Xuôi về phía Nam từ trung tâm thị trấn 30km, bạn đến với ngôi làng nhỏ có tên là Napia, những nghệ nhân ở đây biến những vỏ bom thời kháng chiến chống Mỹ thành sản phẩm gia dụng, phục vụ cho cuộc sống con người nơi đây.

오토바이타고 강건너다 킹받는 인생극장 찍기/거머리들의 습격/오지캠핑/한밤중에 맨몸으로 강건너기/무앙응오이 마을잔치
라오스 중북부 농키아우에서 무앙응오이로 가는길… 작은 개천을 만났다. 현지인들은 모두 건넌다는 말에 무심코 도전했다가 강 한가운데에서 오토바이가 멈춰섰다. 도대체 뭐가 잘못된 걸까?? 이리저리 수소문해보니 에어필터에 물이 찼다는 결과에 도달했다. 다행히 에어필터를 뜯어서 잘 말린 후 두시간만에 다시 출발했다. 길은 상당히 위험하고 지저분(?)했다. 다른 오토바이 여행자들은 모두 농키아우에 오토바이를 맡기고 배를타고 간다는 사실을 나중에서야 알게 되었다. 오토바이 여행자는 육로를 이용하지 않는 단다. 간신히 강을 건너 무앙응오이 입구에 밤 늦게 다다랐는데 이번엔 더 큰강이 나타났다. 별수 없지… 일단 강 앞에서 캠핑을 결정했다. 다만 코 앞의 마을에서 울려퍼지는 시끄러운 소리가 나의 오감을 자극한다. 결국 오토바이와 텐트를 남겨 놓은 채 조심스럽게 맨몸으로 도강을해서 마을에 입성했다. 역시나… 마을에선 한바탕 파티가 열렸다. 전에 무앙 쿠아에서 만났던 이탈리아 오토바이여행자 다니엘레를 이곳에서 다시 만났다. 그와 함께 마을 파티를 즐기고(술 진탕 마심) 정신이 몽롱한 상태에서 다시 도강을 하여 텐트로 돌아왔다. 마을 건너편에서 캠핑을 하고 아침일찍 도강을 위해 일어났는데 간밤에 어떻게 강을 건너 온건지 도통 기억이 나질 않는다.
그런데 갑자기 다리쪽에 뭔가 간지러운 느낌이 들어 바지를 걷어보니 거머리가 우글우글거렸다. 요놈들 어찌나 피를 많이 빨았던지 배가 엄청 불러있다. 결국 두번째 강을 건너서(오토바이 또 강 한가운데서 멈춤) 힘겹게 무앙응오이 도착! 역시 소문대로 평화롭고 고즈넉한 마을이다. 그간 힘겨웠던 여정 탓에 쌓인 피로를 풀기위해 5일정도 머무를 예정이다. 휴식이 필요해!

About us
We are currently on a month-long road trip around this beautiful country of Thailand. Our journey began on the Island of Koh Samui, we will take in the sights of Bangkok before headed north to Chiang Mai and beyond. We plan to visit all the gems that travelling Thailand has to offer and hopefully find a few new ones along the way.
As new travel vloggers and wanna be digital nomads, I’d love to get you feedback on this film, but also some on the other as we like to mix up our content, with standard style vlogs and travel information, restaurant reviews, hotels reviews, tours and the occasional self-promo or product review.
We left our normal lives behind to become Nomads; we are working towards becoming a full-time travelling family.
After a short trip to Bulgaria to catch up with some family, we headed off to Thailand via the Phuket sandbox program. After 14 days of island quarantine, we will be travelling the rest of Thailand, taking in some of the beautiful tropical island of southern Thailand before heading of north to Chiang Mai and beyond to visit some of the hidden gems Thailand has to offer.
We are a travelling family with two small children, come and join us as we learn how to home school the little ones, grow on this mad world of YouTube travel vlogs, learn how to make money online, and grow as humans.
We have officially made ourselves homeless and jobless to travel the world, we did manage to save a bit of money, but we do need a plan. We are working on lots of simple and not so simple ideas to maintain our love for travel and love for wanderlust.
Please support us so we can learn and grow to make some useful and some blissfully unwinding travel vlogs. Thailand is an amazing place to travel around, and we are confident that you will love some of the street food, hotels, restaurants, islands and temples that this country has to offer.
