The Bolgoda (Panadura) River as seen from Sudaliya, a house in Moratuwa (4k)
The Bolgoda River is a river system situated in the Western Province of Sri Lanka and straddling the border between the Colombo and the Kalutara District. It has five divisions, one of which is the Pandura River, which falls to the sea at the Panadura estuary.
This video features a panoramic view of the Bolgoda (Pandura) river from a house named Sudaliya situated in Moratuwa and overlooking the river. It is actually a little down the road from where I live.

Street Food Truck in Moratuwa Sri Lanka | Burger Brothers | Best Burgers in Town 🇱🇰
On a peaceful Saturday evening two of my friends and I went on to cycle in our hometown and we cycled to a beautiful food truck that is situated close by. It was not a very long journey from where we lived to the food truck. The sheer smell of the food made our mouths water in anticipation and our appetites were aroused.
Once we placed our order the people in the food truck were kind enough to let us come inside to see the food being prepared. We ordered 4 dishes that were available, a dish full of Fries coated with chicken and cheese, a mixed meat (beef and chicken) submarine, a crispy chicken burger, and a caramelized onion beef burger. All these items were overloaded with their relevant meat items and were covered in oozing cheese which combined with their techniques of preparation gave them a different, yet juicy and yummy wholesome meal. The 4 meals that we took, tasted completely different from each other, with each of them having its own unique taste and therefore having its own way of appealing.
Without a doubt, this was one of the best street food experiences that we ever had, and after some time there helping ourselves to the food, we cycled back home with heavy tummies yet cheerful hearts after all the food we had.

Randiya Hotels, Moratuwa, Sri Lanka
Randiya Hotel is located in the famous town of Moratuwa which is known for its woodwork industry. Overlooking the Bolgoda Lake surrounded by foliage the hotel has a large garden area allowing you to enjoy your weekend getaway. Accommodation units consists of A/C and non A/C rooms while there are a number of 10 deluxe rooms.
With a rooftop restaurant and a garden restaurant, guests can enjoy buffets and also a la carte meals that will suite your palate. BBQ nights by the lake can be enjoyed during the weekends. Bolgoda Lake is an exciting venue to enjoy boat rides, swimming and even fishing.
Randiya Hotels Location
Located 18km away from the city of Colombo in the village of Koralawella, Randiya Hotel is built in an area of about 200 perches with a large garden. The property overlooks the Bolgoda Lake. Moratuwa can be reached by Colombo-Galle-Matara main road as well as Colombo-Galle-Matara Southern railway line.
Randiya Hotels Accommodation
Randiya Hotel offers guests with 10 Deluxe Rooms for accommodation purposes. Out of the 10, there are 6 air-conditioned guestrooms with balconies offering guests fantastic views of the Bolgoda Lake. The remaining 4 are non-air-conditioned rooms. All guestrooms are comfortable and equipped with all basic amenities required for a peaceful break from the city.
Randiya Hotels Facilities
A number of facilities are offered at Randiya Hotel including a Rooftop Garden Restaurant with a nice view of the lake. This offers space for family and office get-togethers. The Garden Restaurant and Bar also offers fine views while tables are made of natural boulders and rare wood. The garden bar is operative from 11.00 am - 11.00pm daily excluding Poya Holidays.
The Coffee Shop is an open area for about 100 guests. Meals can be ordered from an a la carte menu and is ideal for parties and gatherings. The a la carte menu has a choice of salads, soups, Sri Lankan, Chinese, Western, Indonesian cuisine as well as special bites. Randiya Hotel also houses three banquet halls than can accommodate large numbers of guests. Various banquet menus are offered from Indian Biriyani to Chinese dishes at reasonable rates. Every Friday and Saturday the hotel organizes BBQ nights near the lake with calypso music. There is a family corner for children with various outdoor games.
Randiya Hotels Excursions
Randiya Hotel can organize boat rides along the Bolgoda Lake while sea fishing can also be arranged since fishing is the main source of income for people in this area. Sitting in a motor boat or a normal catamaran with a hand paddle, people enjoy fishing in the Bolgoda Lake. Water sports such as boat rides, Jet Sea scooters, catamaran rides can be arranged as per guests’ requests. Guests can also enjoy bird watching since there are a number of migratory birds seen around the lake. The lake is also popular for surfing and swimming.
The Colombo Sailing Club is also located at the Bolgoda Lake. Moratuwa is also home to numerous Buddhist temples & Roman Catholic, Anglican & Protestant churches including the Holy Emmanuel's, the tallest cathedral in Colombo.
