The Saint-Aignan church is named after the Bishop of Orleans at 400 , when amounted already a pre-Romanesque church, later replaced by other buildings that suffered fire in xii th century and in 1262 . Saint-Aignan was the parish of the Counts of Blois and Chartres.
The tradition because of the high church of the v th century by Aignan Orleans , which nothing remains, the burial place of the saint. Tucked between the castle today disappeared from the counts of Chartres and the wall rebuilt in the ix th century , it became the Late Middle Ages the first parish church of the city and the oldest remains.

The terrace that opens to the south covers the old cemetery. The bedside is then extended on the top of the rampart, which has no more use.

Orléans is a city on the banks of the Loire River in north-central France, and it’s the capital of the Centre-Val de Loire region. Joan of Arc famously saved the city from English siege in 1429, an event celebrated with an annual festival. A re-creation of the house where she stayed during the battle, the Maison de Janne d’Arc, features multimedia exhibits on her life.
Orleans is a city in north-central France, about 111 kilometres (69 mi) southwest of Paris. Orleans is the capital of the Loiret department and of the Centre-Val de Loire region. Orléans is located on the Loire River where the river curves south towards the Massif Central. New Orleans (French: La Nouvelle-Orléans), in Louisiana, United States, is named after the city.
TAO manages buses and tram lines in Orléans. Orléans is an autoroute intersection : the A10 (linking Paris to Bordeaux) links to the commune outskirts, and A71 (whose bridge over the Loire is outside the commune limits) begins here, heading for the Mediterranean via Clermont-Ferrand (where it becomes the A75). At the heart of the Fenouillèdes massif, on the border of the departments of Aude and the Pyrénées-Orientales, between Cubières-sur-Cinoble and Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet, the Galamus gorges extend over 2 m, a spectacular natural site with vertiginous limestone cliff faces! Carved out over time by the tumultuous waters of the Agly, this protected area can be admired from the narrow road which traverses the wild countryside, in all its beauty... As photogenic a place as you could hope to find, which you can admire from a specially created belvedere, the Hermitage of St Anthony of Galamus clings to a cliff overlooking the Agly and will delight amateur photographers!
Mentioned since the 15th century, the hermitage and the chapel fitted out by the Franciscan monks are located below the road, on the rock face and in a natural cave on the cliff.
