Moving Archives & Artifacts 573 Miles from Pittsburgh to Boston! A Day in the Life of an OTR Trucker
Sean brings you along for a behind the scenes look at what it takes to move archives long distance from Pittsburgh, PA to Boston, MA. This move was 573 miles one way and 1146 miles in total! Under the watchful eye of our historian, Sr. Judith Ann Criner. The Benedictine Sisters of Pittsburgh's artifacts, photos and records were packed up and then moved to the Catholic Religious Archives Repository in Boston by Stumpf Moving & Storage. The archives were sent to Boston College's library system; the repository was established to assist in the preservation and study of institutional records of Catholic religious orders and congregations in the United States and Canada. The Benedictine Sisters of Pittsburgh entrusted Stumpf Moving & Storage for this monumental task, and we pulled it off with ease.
