Cidade de Mirandela - Bragança
🚍 Mirandela é uma cidade do distrito de Bragança, situada na Região Norte, de Terras de Trás-os-Montes, nas margens do Rio Tua, numa zona aplanada de solos muito férteis onde se cultivam oliveiras. À sua volta, encontram-se muitos montes e, por essas razões, em Mirandela verifica-se um microclimacaracterizado por Verões abafados e quentes, que lhe dão a alcunha de Terra Quente Transmontana.
Caladunum era o antigo nome da actual cidade de Mirandela.
O rei Dom Afonso III deu à localidade de Mirandela a carta de foral a 25 de Maio de 1250. Foi elevada a cidade a 16 de Maio de 1984.
A 29 de Março de 1919, a então Vila de Mirandela foi feita Oficial da Antiga e Muito Nobre Ordem Militar da Torre e Espada, do Valor, Lealdade e Mérito.
A cidade encontra-se a uma altitude de 210 metros a 280 metros. O solo de Mirandela é predominantemente xistoso (constituído por xisto).

Mirandela is famous for its cuisine, particularly the alheiras.
Tua river flow by the border of Vila Real District and Bragança District. It is a tributary of the Douro River. The biggest and most important city it flows through is Mirandela to allow the formation of a vast reflecting pool and a water fountain which has become an ex libris of the city.
The Romanic style bridge is one of city’s main highlights.
