五羊新城，又稱五羊邨、五羊新村，是中國廣州市越秀區（原東山區）東南角的一個街區，位於由廣州大道中、明月二路、明月路、寺右二馬路、東興南路圍成的範圍內。 東望天河區珠江新城，南近二沙島，西有寺右村、南部戰區司令部，西北方有共和村，北鄰楊箕村。 週邊還有多個住宅社區。
五羊新城於1980年代由東華實業開發。 不過在那個時候，天河區尚未成立，因此為了適應城市發展需要，廣州市政府將佔地30萬平米的土地進行開發。 同時這也是上世紀90年代廣州新式小區的代表。 此片區僅次於二沙島的高檔小區，也是廣州第一家設有污水處理廠的社區。

It is located between Guangzhou Avenue Middle, Mingyue 2nd Road, Mingyue Road, Siyou 2nd Road, Dongxing Within the area enclosed by South Road. It looks to the east of Zhujiang New Town in Tianhe District, to the south of Ersha Island, to the west of Siyou Village and the Southern Theater Command, to the northwest of Gonghe Village, and to the north of Yangji Village. There are many residential areas in the surrounding area.
Wuyang New Town was developed by Donghua Industrial in the 1980s. However, at that time, Tianhe District had not yet been established, so in order to meet the needs of urban development, the Guangzhou Municipal Government allocated 300,000 square meters of land for development. At the same time, this is also a representative of Guangzhou’s new community in the 1990s. This area is second only to Ersha Island, a high-end community, and is also the first community in Guangzhou equipped with a sewage treatment plant.

西湖 (West Lake) is a renowned freshwater lake situated on the western side of the ancient city of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, in the People's Republic of China. It is one of the earliest designated national key scenic areas and is recognized as one of China's top ten scenic spots. The lake covers an approximate area of 6.39 square kilometers (2.47 square miles) and is bordered by the urban area of Hangzhou to the east, with mountains encompassing the other three sides.
The name West Lake has historical roots, with ancient records referring to it as Wulin Shui. Wulin translates to martial forest, which signifies its significance in the past. Over the years, West Lake has also been known by various other names, such as Qian Tang Lake, Qian Water, Qiantang Lake, Ming Sheng Lake, Jinniu Lake, Shi Han Lake, Shang Lake, Lianyan Lake, Fangsheng Pool, Xizi Lake, Gaotu Lake, Xiling Lake, Longchuan, Xiaojin Guo, Meiren Lake, Xianzhe Lake, and Mingyue Lake, among others.
West Lake is renowned not only for its natural beauty but also for its rich cultural and religious significance. Throughout history, it has been closely associated with Buddhism, Daoism, and various religious and temple complexes. During the Wu and Yue states era, it reached its zenith, with successive kings promoting Buddhist studies and the construction of numerous temples, pagodas, scriptures, and grottoes in the vicinity of West Lake, including the expansion of the Lingyin Temple.
West Lake has a rich ecological diversity, with the surrounding area hosting a variety of plant species that enhance its natural beauty throughout the seasons. The lake and its surroundings are adorned with an array of flowers and plants that contribute to the picturesque landscape of Hangzhou.
While there is limited geological information about the origin of West Lake in ancient texts, its transformation from a part of the Qiantang River into a distinct lake has been attributed to sedimentation over thousands of years. West Lake has played a pivotal role in the history, culture, and natural beauty of Hangzhou, making it a cherished destination for travelers and a testament to China's profound historical and natural heritage.
