5 Best Places To Live In Massachusetts

Massachusetts is one of the iconic places in the United States. According to some, Massachusetts is the birthplace of the country. At the same time, it is where the first European settlement was established--back in 1620. That particular event is quite significant, as New England today still represents the progressive direction that America is taking.

Close to the dawn of the 21st century, Massachusett had experienced dramatic improvement. It transformed into an art and technology beacon, which is now known as The Massachusetts Miracle. Of course, this renaissance has kickstarted various urban reinventions throughout the globe. These days, the Greater Boston area is an IT powerhouse, which has already overshadowed different European countries' IT industries.

Furthermore, Massachusetts has elevated itself to become a to-go place for those who want to receive a world-class education. Back in 2017, Massachusetts was ranked as the most educated state in the United States by WalletHub. That speaks volume to the finesse that this state offers!

If you are planning to move to the Commonwealth State, then this video is for you. Today, I am going to list down all the best places to live in Massachusetts. Watch this video until the end, and don't forget to hit like and subscribe.

Vermont Dream #vermont #newengland #fallfoliage

Grafton Inn is located in the most breathtaking and postcard-perfect historic town of Grafton. It is often listed as one of the New England’s prettiest villages. If you want to experience the charm of a timeless Vermont village then this place is for you. From picturesque landscapes, to historic houses, to covered bridges, to the laidback lifestyle, there are so many reasons to fall in love with this place. The real beauty of Grafton lies in its historic buildings, tranquility and most importantly the true small town lifestyle of low-key, friendly residents (a population of 600). I was lucky enough to interact with few of them, all thanks to Angela (the Innkeeper at Grafton Inn) and was absolutely flattered by their warmth and friendly nature.

About Grafton Inn
Founded in 1801, The Grafton Inn (formerly the Old Tavern at Grafton) is one of the oldest operating inns in America. As a matter of fact, Grafton Inn just celebrated its 220th birthday in 2021. It has hosted such famous guests as Ulysses S. Grant, Theodore Roosevelt, and Ralph Waldo Emerson. The inn features 45 rooms, including seven luxury suites and four guest houses. We stayed in the Cricketers Suite across from the main inn.Our spacious suite was tastefully decorated with four-poster bed, floral furnishings, beautiful antiques and rugs. The inn is a perfect amalgamation of historic charm and modern day luxury. It has free Wi-Fi connection, a Game room, Tennis courts, a fitness center and bikes for its guests.
The Grafton Inn specializes in weddings. Due to its fairytale location, it is one of the most popular wedding venue of southern Vermont and hosts around 30-35 weddings per year.
But the best part about the inn is it’s very welcoming, attentive and helpful staff.A special mention goes to Angela Comstock, the innkeeper. She is the anchor of this place in true sense, her hard work and dedication reflects in every details of the inn.

Worcester MA - 10 best things to do in Worcester

Worcester is city with a lot happening, we’re a place for business, a college town, a medical center and fun place to be. We’re right in the middle of state so whether you’re driving or flying we’re easy to get to.

Like many cities in Massachusetts we started life as a textile and manufacturing hub. Today the old mill buildings have been converted to lofts and office space and we’ve grown into a biotech, medical and business hotspot.

But we’re not just about working we educate too. Worcester is home to 7 colleges and universities. You’ll fine students and faculty everywhere! The education system is one of our major employers and keeps the city humming.

Need some culture, we’ve got that too. Check out our museums like the Worcester Art or Historical Museum. For music or live theatre it’s Mechanics Hall one of the oldest concert halls in the country. The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts brings Broadway shows. And Tuckerman Hall is home to the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra.

Our DCU Center is the perfect location for conventions, concerts, and sporting events and home to our hockey team, the Worcester Sharks.

You’ll always find something to do, we’ve got plenty of parks, open space and neighborhoods. Shrewsbury Street is Worcester’s Little Italy and the Canal District has been redeveloped into a popular bar, restaurant and club scene. We’ve even got a golf course in our city, and Ward Ski area is just minutes away.

We’re looking forward to seeing you in Worcester. Please contact the Worcester Regional Chamber of commerce for more information.

Scrambling over the Rocks and Waterfall at Purgatory Chasm

Hike Purgatory Chasm with me through the Chasm Loop, Little Purgatory, Old Purgatory and Charlie's Loop trails. Purgatory Chasm State Reservation in Sutton, MA allows visitors to hike through a 70 deep chasm, scramble over giant boulders and rocks then wind their way through the hiking trails, some of which have small waterfalls. It is a great place to see a number of geologic formations. In 1919, the state declared the area a state park.

Trail maps are readily available at the visitor's center (bathrooms available) and near the beginning of the Chasm Loop trail head. Bring your lunch, as the area also provides for a number of picnic tables. Those with children should be sure to visit the playground, which is near the visitor's center.

Also, be sure to check out the website for upcoming programs. Here is a link:

Autumn Foliage Leaves in Sutton Massachusetts 2022 - with Millbury and Whitinsville

This video was taken on Friday October 14, 2022 - just about the peak of foliage season here in Sutton, as far as we can tell. Wednesday was absolutely spectacular, and then Thursday was fairly rainy, so now on Friday a portion of the leaves have fallen. There are still green trees, and some bare trees. I'd say at this point there is that delightful mix of color. Going forward I have to guess that we'll have more and more bare trees in the mix.

For this video we start on Central Turnpike going west, approaching 146 South. We take 146 South to Whitins Road which means we nip the corner of Whitinsville. At Vaillancourt Folk Art we turn right onto Putnam Hill Road. We take that up past the police station to the high school and turn right onto Boston Road. We next go left onto Singletary Ave and go up into Millbury. We head south again on Burbank, returning to Sutton. We follow Burbank down to Boston Road. We take that across 146 and over to Stone School and take that all the way down, across Central Turnpike, to the transfer station.

We've nearly covered all of the main roads in Sutton at this point. I think for the next drive we'll hit Purgatory Road and Uxbridge Road, and those will be the main roads. That still leaves lots of smaller roads to consider ...

Grafton, VT 【Charming Small Towns in Vermont】

In the early 19th century, sheep raising became popular and multiple woolen mills sprang up along the branches of the Saxtons River. Soapstone was quarried on nearby Bear Mountain. The town became a notable stagecoach hub for traffic across the Green Mountains into Albany, New York. One inn from that era, the Old Tavern, was founded in 1801. It remains one of the oldest continually operating hotels in the United States.

Grafton had a population of almost 1,500 just before the American Civil War. The town suffered severe losses during the Civil War. Local cemeteries in the village hold many tombstones of casualties from the Battle of Gettysburg. After the war, the community declined in population. The soapstone quarry was depleted and closed late in the 19th century. Around the time of the Great Depression, the town's population was less than 400.

In the 1960s the Windham Foundation was established to help restore the village. It purchased the Old Tavern and many residences in the area. The foundation also established an artisanal cheese business, the Grafton Village Cheese Company, and built a world-class cross-country skiing center at Grafton Ponds that offers a popular mountain biking program for children in the summer months. The restoration efforts attracted new residents from metropolitan New York and Boston.

As of the census of 2000, there were 649 people, 291 households, and 190 families residing in the town. The population density was 16.9 people per square mile.
