Minneapolis and Saint Paul are some of the two best cities in America. They're also home to some of the most amazing things to do, see, eat, drink and experience. In this video, I give you 15 must-do activities that will help you get started exploring these fantastic places!
Minneapolis and Saint Paul are two cities that are located in the state of Minnesota. They are located on opposite banks of the Mississippi River just north of its confluence with the Minnesota River, which forms the border between the states of Minnesota and Wisconsin at this point. The Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area consists of over 16 cities in Minnesota with a population of 3.6 million people.
Unlike most Twin Cities, Minneapolis (MPLS) is slightly larger by population than Saint Paul, though today it is not as true as it was for most of the 20th Century. Saint Paul has won national acclaim for its beauty and livability.
The two cities have very different histories and they blend beautifully today. Although it's hard to say which is the better of the two, I'm referring to Minneapolis as a much more boring place than Saint Paul (in terms of activities and things to do).
Minneapolis has a lot of fun things for you to do, like the Mill City Museum or the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, in which you can immerse yourself in flour and the history of Minneapolis. Or visit the Science Museum of Minnesota for over 300 interactive exhibits covering science, art, history, and nature in Saint Paul.

The Minnesota capital city is popularly known for being the confluence of the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers. The city claims 26 miles of the Mississippi riverfront, which is more than any other city.
Its interconnection with Minneapolis on the west forms the “Twin Cities”. It is also home to the Cathedral of Saint Paul, the third-largest Catholic Cathedral and sixth-largest Church in the United States, and the home of the famous author, Scott Fitzgerald.
The city is home to different architectural masterpieces such as the stunning Cathedral of Saint Paul reminiscent of the renaissance period, a fantastic conservatory, a magnificent state capitol, a beauty of a Landmark center built in European style, which makes it look like a castle, several Victorian-era buildings on the Summit Avenue which is one of the longest avenues with Victorian houses in the United States.
The whole atmosphere of Saint Paul, Minnesota, gives off a vibe of class and culture. It’s plain to see that Saintly city is not lacking in beauty or elegance. With its rich history, culture, and spectacular buildings, Saint Paul is a tourist’s dream.

Things to do in Duluth, Minnesota | Ep 14 | Enger Tower
I didn't realize it's been a few years since I was last at Enger Tower until I was looking for locations to go to for this trip. I've also never explored anything in this park besides the tower either. It's a beautiful park and was supervised to learn that I didn't see all of it when I was researching its history.
Enger park isn't only the park and tower but there is also a golf course. There are also a few different overlooks in the area a few being West Skyline Pkwy Scenic turnout, Enger Trail & Observation Hill: Trailhead (Twin Lakes), Skyline Scenic Overlook, Point of Rocks, and Hilltop Park.
Enger Tower is also the best place to watch the sunset since the big hills cover the sunset unless you go to Stoney Point that's another great location for sunset.
Enger Tower is 8 minutes (3.6 miles) from Duluth Heights (where the mall and target along with some restraints and other stores are)
The tower is also 10 minutes (2.8 miles) from Canal Park
From downtown St. Paul the park is a 2hr 19min (152 mile) and it's 2hr 22min (154 mile) from downtown Minneapolis.

Doch in unmittelbarer Umgebung gibt es noch viel mehr zu erkunden! Nämlich viel Natur und Ruhe vom ganzen Trubel mit schöner Landschaft die zum Wandern und Joggen einlädt - oder um einfach mal die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Kommt mit und begleitet mich durch diese spannende und abwechslungsreiche Gegend!
Rund 12.000 Personen arbeiten in der Mall of America, um den Besuchern ein tolles und abwechslungsreiches Erlebnis aus Shopping, Unterhaltung und Gastronomie zu bieten.
Die Mall of America wurde 1992 eröffnet und feiert in diesen Tagen gerade ihren 25-jährigen Geburtstag, herzlichen Glückwunsch! Vorher stand an dieser Stelle das Metropolitan Stadium, das für diverse Sportmannschaften in Minneapolis - aber vor allem dem Baseball als Heimat galt. Eine Erinnerungsplatte weist heute noch auf das damalige Stadion hin.
Die Mall of America hat jeden Tag bis weit in die Abendstunden geöffnet. Oftmals finden auch besondere Veranstaltungen wie Autogrammstunden und andere Auftritte von Prominenten statt. Aktuelles erfahrt ihr auf der Website. Der Link steht unter dem Video im Beschreibungstext.
Das Nickelodeon Universe liegt zentral mitten in der Mall of America. Es ist ein überdachter Vergnügungspark mit Achter- und Wildwasserbahnen sowie zahlreichen andere Attraktionen. Da ist für jedes Alter etwas dabei! Der Star ist SpongeBob Schwammkopf dem zahlreiche Fahrgeschäfte und Souvenirs gewidmet sind. Nach 14 Uhr wird es deutlich ruhiger, wenn die Schulklassen wieder nach Hause fahren. Das ist übrigens ebenfalls beim Aquarium und aber auch vielen anderen Sightseeing Hotspots in den Twin Cities der Fall - wie z.B. Museen.
Als großer Fan von Erlebnis-Aquarien aller Art ist natürlich das Sea Life Minnesota Aquarium, das sich auch in der Mall of America befindet, ein absolutes Highlight für mich mit all den Haien, Meeresschildkröten, Quallen und tausenden anderer Meeresbewohner!
Von der lebhaften Mall of America nur kurz entfernt liegt das erholsame Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge. Ein 5.700 ha großes Naturschutzgebiet am Rande von Bloomington und südlich der Twin Cities Minneapolis und Saint Paul.
Im Besucherzentrum in Bloomington gibt es viele Ausstellungen zu erkunden. Von dort aus führen auch Wanderwege zum Long Meadow Lake am linken Ufer des Minnesota River umgeben von Seen, Teichen und Auenwäldern.
