Things to Do in MEDICINE HAT, ALBERTA! (Beer, paddle-boarding, history, and more)
Believe it or not, this was our first time in Medicine Hat! Working with Tourism Medicine Hat, we tried amazing beers from three different breweries, visited the world's tallest tepee, went paddleboarding down the South Saskatchewan River (it looks like Arizona or the Grand Canyon at times), and learned all about what was once one of the biggest pottery factories in Canada.
If you're looking for some road trip ideas within Alberta, this is a good one to do!

Police Point Park in Medicine Hat (4K) | Journey Alberta
I travel down to Medicine Hat on a late fall day and walk around Police Point Park. I admired the surroundings and note how quiet everything seems to be at this time of year, as there are barely any people out walking the park's many trails. I complete my exploration of the park by sitting near the South Saskatchewan River and flying my DJI Phantom 3 4K drone out over the waters of the river. I had a great time in the park, especially because it was so quiet and serene.
Shot on a Panasonic G7 at 4K/30fps, and a DJI Phantom 3 4K.

Experience Culture in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada
Medicine Hat has many great places to explore.
Experience Medalta - a National Historic Site which has been resurrected as an industrial museum, pottery production studio, contemporary ceramic artists in residence studio and cultural hub. Its iconic beehive kilns are set against the dramatic badlands cliffs of the South Saskatchewan River. When the sun sets, it lights up the sky, cliffs and kilns themselves. Medalta is a powerful, nostalgic and inspiring place to visit.
Visit the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre - take in a performance in their award-winning theatre or explore their art gallery, museum or archives. A marvel of contemporary Canadian architecture on traditional Blackfoot territory just steps from the South Saskatchewan River, the Esplanade occupies an eminent position on downtown's elegant First Street South. From its rooftop terrace, you can see Saamis, the shoreline escarpment which is the setting for the story of how Medicine Hat got its name.
For those visiting Medicine Hat, there are a number of excellent hotels and travel packages available for you.
