Galicien – Reise durch Spaniens Norden | ARD Reisen

Eine Mischung aus Irland, Norwegen und der Karibik – das ist Galicien, Spaniens grüner Norden mit keltischem Erbe. Judith Rakers erkundet die hohe Steilküste, Naturparks mit Wasserfällen und dichten Wäldern, fjordähnliche Meeresarme und die traumhaften Strände des unbewohnten Inselparadieses Islas Cies. Auf dem Jakobsweg pilgert sie nach Santiago de Compostela und besucht die beeindruckende Kathedrale. Dass Fischfang und Muschelzucht für die Menschen in Galicien bis heute eine große Bedeutung haben, erlebt Judith Rakers hautnah: In Porto de Corme trifft sie Frauen, die in Handarbeit riesige Fischernetze knüpfen, und sie fährt mit einer Fischerin raus zum Sammeln von Entenmuscheln.

Küstenwälder mit tiefen Schluchten und Felsenkathedralen im Meer
Das Waldgebiet um den Rio Tambre zählt zu den besterhaltenen atlantischen Küstenwäldern in Europa: Tiefe Schluchten, grüne Wälder, ein einzigartiges Tierreich und eine Kajaktour warten auf Judith Rakers. Der Praia das Catedrais wird bei Ebbe zum Naturwunder: Dann erheben sich am Strand die bis zu 30 Meter hohen Felsen wie gotische Kathedralen aus dem Wasser.

Auf dem Jakobsweg von Santiago de Compostela ans Ende der Welt
Die Kathedrale von Santiago de Compostela ist das Wahrzeichen von Galicien – und das Ziel von Millionen von Pilgern. Judith Rakers bekommt eine private Führung, nimmt am Gottesdienst teil und lernt die religiösen Hintergründe einer Pilgerreise kennen. Warum sich Menschen überhaupt auf den Jakobsweg begeben, erfährt sie auf dem Weg zum Kap von Finisterre – dem Ende der Welt.

Von spanischen Dudelsäcken und kostbaren Entenmuscheln
Ein musikalisches Erbe der Kelten ist die Gaita, der traditionelle spanische Dudelsack. Judith Rakers trifft Susana Seivane, die mit ihrer Gaita-Musik zum Folkrockstar wurde. Ihre Familie baut das traditionsreiche Instrument seit Generationen und zeigt Judith, wie es geht. Eine weitere Spezialität Galiciens sind die Entenmuscheln. Die Delikatesse kostet bis zu 200 Euro pro Kilo. Wie gefährlich das Sammeln der Muscheln in der rauen Meeresbrandung ist, erlebt Judith Rakers am eigenen Leib an Galiciens Todesküste Costa da Morte.

Another trip we had after easing Covid restriction.

We stayed in this wonderful cabin, everything that you need is there. The area is quiet and peaceful, there are also barbecue area which we did not show in this video.

We caught, 5 salmons at the beach and the crab caught was returned.

Baltic Coasts (6/10): Denmark - The Nordic South Seas | Season 2: Europe

In the sixth episode of the series, the helicopter circles stunning Møns Klint, heads westwards where the big islands enclose the waters of Smalandshavet before moving on to Greenå, Odense and Copenhagen. A giant offshore windpark towers at Rødsand, using the same winds as the migrating birds. Near Fyn, in the middle of the Danish South Seas, a woman has found happiness on small Avernakø island together with 150 goats. After a visit in northern Greenå, where old vessels are put to their last rest, the journey ends in a state-of-the-art open air bath in Copenhagen.
