Trillium Falls is located approximately 45 miles north of Eureka, CA along the beautiful Highway 101 Redwood Coast corridor. If you travel through Humboldt and want to explore the one of the most serene waterfalls on the Northern California Redwood Coast, journey off of Highway 101 on Davidson Rd. about 1 mile to the west and you'll discover one of many of Humboldt's many famous locations on the Lost Coast...

The Trillium Falls trail is a well maintained, very accessible and an easy, short walk from the parking lot. Parking is free and very open for RV's and trailers. It also has very well-maintained restroom facilities and picnic areas right next to the parking lot.

This is a highly recommended place to visit in Humboldt whether you're passing through for the day, a weekend vacation or longer, visit Trillium Falls the Big Redwood Tree trail, you will be glad you did...

It was a rainy day and I didn't know what else to do, so for fun, I drove south through Eureka, California, then made a U-turn and headed north through town again, and continued on up the highway to McKinleyville, where I departed from US 101 for a closer look at the town.
