The port city of Marmaris lies on the Mediterranean coast in Mula Province, Southwest Turkey along the shoreline of the Turkish Riviera. It is one of those places where you can find anything and everything you want: beautiful beaches, water sports, water parks, boat trips, blue cruising, excellent sailing, adventure and outdoor sports, top-notch restaurants, and Mediterranean sunshine. With its sandy beaches, vibrant nightlife, and excellent facilities for families, couples, and groups, it's no wonder that Marmaris has grown in popularity. MARMARIS TURKEY: The Ultimate Top 10 Guide || Things to do in Marmaris Turkey
Today I share with you the Top 10 most amazing places to see and do when you visit Marmaris, Turkey. Marmaris is in the Muğla Province and is known to be the jewel of Türkiye. It is full of amazing ancient history as well as natural beauty. There are many things to do and see in Marmaris, but here are the top ten things that we recommend.

Netsel Marmaris Marina is a prestigious shopping area with a variety of shops from clothing to cafes and restaurants.
Marmaris Grand Bazaar contains many shops and vendors selling everything from carpets, clothes, souvenirs and snacks. I found the Ottoman Antique Dealer shops to be fascinating as it contains various pieces from the Ottoman era.
Day trip to Dalyan is something that you can consider when in Marmaris as it is just over an hour away, and you can visit Iztuzu beach and the turtle sanctuary. View my Dalyan video here:
Walk along the promenade of the Marmaris Marina where you can find various restaurants and cafes. You can also find the famous Octopus sculpture of Marmaris here.
Take a trip to Fethiye from Marmaris, since it is only around 2 hours away. From here you can visit Oludeniz, Butterfly valley and the Babadag mountain. This area is also famous for paragliding as well as the 1700 restaurant. View my Fethiye video here:
On your way up to Marmaris Castle, you will find the Tepe Mahallesi, which contains cobbled floors, picturesque buildings and boutique shops. It is the perfect place to take beautiful pictures of Marmaris.
One of the most popular sights to visit is the Marmaris Castle, which was conquered by Ottoman Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent. Marmaris Castle is full of history and it is also the perfect place to get the best views of the region.
If you have time, you can also visit Bodrum from Marmaris which is about 2 to 3 hours away depending on the route you take. You can either hire a car, take a bus or taxi, or even take a ferry via Datcha (which is what we did). You can also take a ferry ride to the Greek Island of Rhodes. Marmaris to Datcha is a popular trip to take where you can relax on the beaches and be surrounded by nature. When in Marmaris, you can also visit the tomb of Sari Ana (Sari Ana Turbesi). Sari Ana was a saintly woman who spiritually guided Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent during his conquest of Marmaris.

Welcome to Marmaris, Turkey! A beachside paradise here in the Southwest coast of Turkey. In this video we take you along one of our new found favorite coastal towns we have visited. Surrounded by the beautiful blue water and some world class meals, you won't be disappointed when coming here.
This was our second to last stop here in Turkey and we were so happy to finally make it back to a beach, something we've been dearly missing. We go on two boat excursions (with one not going according to plan lol), eat plenty of great food, and relaxed at our amazing hotel.

Marmaris is a port city and tourist resort on the Mediterranean coast, located in Muğla Province, southwest Turkey, along the shoreline of the Turkish Riviera.
Marmaris' main source of income is tourism. It is located between two intersecting sets of mountains by the sea, though following a construction boom in the 1980s, little is left of the sleepy fishing village that Marmaris was until the late 20th century. In 2010, the city's population was 30,957, and peaks at around 300,000 to 400,000 people during the tourist season.
