Maner also spelled Maner or Maner Sharif in the Patna district in the Indian state of Bihar.Maner Sharif lies 24 km west of Patna the capital of Bihar on National Highway 30 (India). It comes 8 km before Bihta while travelling from Patna to Ara-Buxar via NH30. The town has tombs of Sufi saints Makhdoom Yahya Maneri and Makhdoom Shah Daulat, known as Bari Dargah (the great shrine) and Chhoti Dargah (the small shrine). Maner is an important tourist area and tourism centre . The city's name is said to come from its status as a center of tourism.

Mausoleum of Makhdoom Shah Daulat (d 1608), a disciple of Makhdoom Yahya Maneri, at Maner, on Son River, 29 km from Patna, 19th century. Makhdum Daulat died at Maner in 1608, and Ibrahim Khan, Governor of Bihar and one of the saint's disciples completed the erection of his mausoleum in 1616.

Patna (/ˈpætnə, ˈpʌt-/[12] Hindi: [ˈpəʈnaː] (listen)), historically known as Pataliputra, is the capital and largest city of the state of Bihar in India.[1] According to the United Nations, as of 2018, Patna had a population of 2.35 million,[13] making it the 19th largest city in India.[1] Covering 250 square kilometres (97 sq mi) and over 2.5 million people, its urban agglomeration is the 18th largest in India. Patna serves as the seat of Patna High Court. The Buddhist, Hindu and Jain pilgrimage centres of Vaishali, Rajgir, Nalanda, Bodh Gaya and Pawapuri are nearby and Patna City is a sacred city for Sikhs as the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh was born here.[14] The modern city of Patna is mainly on the southern bank of the river Ganges. The city also straddles the rivers Sone, Gandak and Punpun. The city is approximately 35 kilometres (22 mi) in length and 16 to 18 kilometres (9.9 to 11.2 mi) wide.

One of the oldest continuously inhabited places in the world,[15] Patna was founded in 490 BCE by the king of Magadha. Ancient Patna, known as Pataliputra, was the capital of the Magadh Empire through Haryanka, Nanda, Mauryan, Shunga, Gupta and Pala dynasties. Pataliputra was a seat of learning and fine arts. It was home to many astronomers and scholars including Aryabhata, Vātsyāyana and Chanakya.[16][17] During the Maurya period (around 300 BCE) its population was about 400,000.[18] Patna served as the seat of power, and political and cultural centre of the Indian subcontinent during the Maurya and Gupta empires.[19] With the fall of the Gupta Empire, Patna lost its glory. It was revived again in the 17th century by the British as a centre of international trade. Following the partition of Bengal presidency in 1912, Patna became the capital of Bihar and Orissa Province.[20]

Maner sharif ki rahasyamai gufa - Yaha mela laga hai

This video is about Bihar's one of the most famous and important tourist place Maner Sharif Dargah. It is situated at Maner, just 39 km away from Patna and it is famous for the grave of sufi saint Makhdum Shah Daulat who died in 1608. This Dargah was built in 1616 by Bengal's Subedar Ibrahim Khan. It has The Holi Quran verses engraved on its wall and its design is similar to the fort of Fatehpur Sikri.
Shohbat Mela is Held twice a year for two to three days. During this period People from all over the world visit here to offer special prayers to Makhdum Shah Daula When their wishes gets fullfilled.
