Similar to the people of Puerto Rico, our traditional cuisine has a rich history resulting from the blend of our African, Taíno, and Spanish ancestor's traditions resulting in what legendary Spanish Chef Jose Andrés described as one of the most interesting cuisines in the world!
With so many delicious food options to choose from, it's difficult to know where to start. But, don't worry, in this video, I'll show you my picks for the top 10 traditional Puerto Rican foods and precisely where to get them!
In this video, we'll first stop at the community of Piñones where we'll get some authentic Puerto Rican fritters called alcapurrias, bacalaitos, and empanadillas. After taking a dip on the beach under the sun we get a refreshing piña colada at an oceanfront restaurant. Then we travel to Lote 23 in the heart of Santurce where we try the delicious mofongo with fried meat. Then we head over to Bebo's BBQ for a plate of pernil, yuca and amarillitos. We finish the video off by tasting some delicious Puerto Rican coffee and pairing it with the authentic Puerto Rican pastry called quesitos.

👉EL VALLE DE LOS INGENIOS, ubicado en la Provincia de Sancti Spíritus, en el centro de Cuba, es una extensa planicie de forma triangular que abarca alrededor de 250 kilómetros cuadrados y comprende en su interior los valles de San Luis, Agabama-Méyer y Santa Rosa, además de la llanura costera del sur, delta del río Manatí. Junto con la ciudad de Trinidad, fue reconocido por la UNESCO como Patrimonio de la Humanidad en el año 1988.
Antiguamente, la principal vía de entrada que dirigía hacia el Valle de Ingenios estaba dispuesta en la Plaza de Santa Ana, ubicada en la zona más céntrica de la ciudad de Trinidad, concretamente a unos 500 metros de la Plaza Mayor. Fomentando una de las regiones azucareras más grandes de la época, se asentaron en el valle desde el siglo XVII hasta el XIX, la aristocracia criolla, que se dedicaba a la industria azucarera en gran escala, entre 75 mil y 140 mil arrobas de caña por caballería, basadas en el trabajo esclavo.
El valle cuenta con 65 sitios arqueológicos, incluidas 13 casas haciendas, algunas de las cuales cuentan aún con sus calderas, torres, sistemas industriales de la época y vestigios propios de la producción azucarera, de los siglos del XVIII al XIX. Entre los antiguos ingenios podemos encontrar:

Hay música todos los viernes a las 7pm y todos los domingos a las 5pm. Tienen una tremenda ubicación ya que queda a 16 minutos de Playa Mar Chiquita y a 12 minutos del Manantial de Guayaney.
Este restaurante tiene como especialidad las croquetas de malanga que son hechas desde cero. Entre sus platos más pedidos siempre está
mofongo relleno de churrasco con salsa de la casay el arroz de la casa que tiene longaniza, dos carnes rojas & dos plátanos rayados.
De aperitivo probamos el surtido de que es para 3 personas que incluye carne frita, mozarella sticks, alitas de pezcado & pastelillitos de pionono. Entre los platos principales que probamos se encuentran el new york steak con majado de malanga, churrasco con arroz de la casa, masitas de pollo empanadas con mofongo & carne ahumada con tostones.
Entre las bebidas que probamos se encuentra:
frappé de nutella, frappé de fresa decorado con sprinkles afuera, margarita original con tajín, mojito original, mojito frozen de kiwi & sangría de la casa. Y no podía faltar la bebida de la casa que se llama La Campesina, la cual tiene dragon berry, midoris, granalina & cranberry. Esta bebida se puede hacer a la roca o frozen.

Explico lo sucedido: el corredor al llegar a la 2da base se arrastró de forma equivocada y aparentemente sufrió una lesión ligamentosa de la rodilla. Hasta este momento no he sabido más nada del accidente.
