Malihabad Railway Station | मलिहाबाद रेलवे स्टेशन | MLD | Firozpur | Northern Zone

Malihabad Railway Station | मलिहाबाद रेलवे स्टेशन | MLD | Firozpur | Northern Zone

Chaunsa mango orchard in UP's Malihabad

This Chaunsa is in Malihabad, Uttar Pradesh. It produces hybrid Chaunsa mangoes in the month of July.

Its name literally means a sucker. Once you start eating it, all restraint is lost and you find yourself sucking every drop of its heavenly nectar!! Some call it the gift-of-the-Gods.

When a Chaunsa has been consumed, life is not the same any more- one suddenly realizes the reason for existence. For many it is an out-of-the-body experience whenever they consume a Chaunsa. Do not be surprised if you are lost in joy for hours afterwards and people do not comprehend the continuous smile on your face. Mango color changes to light yellow on ripening.

The best season for this Mango is between end-July and start-August.

Historical Dispensary of Malihabad constructed in 1939.#dispensarylife

Historical Dispensary
Vijaya Laxmi Pandit, the first Indian woman to held a post in the pre-independent India governance. She was elected to the provincial legislature of the United Provinces and was designated minister of local-self government and public health in 1937. She became the first woman president of United Nations General Assembly in 1953. She came to Malihabad on September 12, 1939 to inaugurate a women dispensary hospital. That hospital now lies in ruins as a new building had come up at a little distance. A plaque was installed on that day for remembrance. She was the sister of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, the first Prime minister of India. The indoor room was inaugurated by Panna Lal I.C.S. in 1941.
This hospital now lies in ruins as a new building had come up at a little
distance. A plaque was installed on that day for remembrance. The creepy silence of this place amidst dirty
and filthy surroundings make this place
horrible, nevertheless fit place for a horror movie set.

old graveyard of early Mughal period in Malihabad.

Out of sight, Far off in a place where no one is heard..This is one of the Oudh's oldest graveyard in Malihabad and some tombs are from the period of Khalji/Khilji/Ghilji Dynasty of India, remaining are from earlier Mughal period. Important among them is the tomb, which is said to be of Abdullah Khan Uzbek.

It is the chief terror of death, - for one must always die alone. No matter how many friends and relatives stand weeping round the bed, one is absolutely alone at the hour of death, for the stunned soul wanders blindly.
