UNDISCOVERED GUYANA - Climbing the Kanuku Mountains
How I Afford to Travel (Free Training) →
We flew into the Guyana interior to explore the Kanuku Mountains, spending a night in the jungle and learning how to survive! I tried eating a live grub, learned to catch fish using cyanide and then we slept in hammocks by the rapids.
This was an incredible trip to one of the least visited countries in the world. From exploring the Amazon basin, to finding a harpies eagle nest, to staying in community eco lodges and finally flying to Kaiteur Falls - Guyana is a country to add your list.

Mabaruma Sojourn
Short documentary by Annette Arjoon and Dave Martins about Mabaruma and the wider North West area of Region 1, Guyana, South America.
Mabrauma is a breathtaking location; surrounded by rivers, creeks and rainforest. However, the true beauty of the region is the people. The population is predominately Amerindian, from three tribes Warrau, Carib and Arwak, whos origins can be traced back over 10,000 years. These are very special people, living an amazing way of life. To experience this is a real privilege.
From Mabaruma, you can take a short boat ride to Shell Beach to see the giant leatherback sea turtles ( This has to be experienced to be believed.
Mabaruma is easy to reach with daily flights from Georgetown, Guyana, by TransGuyana Airways, SkyWest and a 1-day Mabaruma Saturday Special by Air Services (+592-222-4368).

Traveling To Guyana Series - Best Egg Ball in Guyana at Milk and Honey Shop
`
Hi everyone, welcome back to my vlog series on traveling to Guyana. In this episode, I'm going to show you the best place to get egg ball in Guyana. Egg ball is a popular street food that consists of boiled eggs wrapped in a spicy potato dough and deep-fried. It's usually served with a tangy tamarind sauce and it's absolutely delicious. The best place to get egg ball in Guyana is at Milk and Honey Shop, a small family-owned business that has been making egg ball for over 20 years. They use fresh ingredients and make everything from scratch. Their egg ball is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and bursting with flavor. You can get one for just 100 Guyanese dollars, which is less than 50 cents in US dollars. It's a great snack or breakfast option that will keep you full and satisfied. If you ever visit Guyana, you have to try egg ball at Milk and Honey Shop. Trust me, you won't regret it. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more vlogs on traveling to Guyana.

Come visit Guyana!!
At the point where the Caribbean meets South America on its North Atlantic seaboard lies an almost unknown, but incredibly wonderful land of unspoilt beauty, where the virgin rainforest leads to the Amazon Basin. Where the jungle is still unexplored, rivers uncharted and mountains yet to be climbed.

Biggest Waterfall in the world | Kaieteur Falls | Eco-Tourism | Guyana | Diana Hernandez TV
Kaieteur Fall is considered the biggest single drop waterfall in the world and I feel so blessed to be able to experience firsthand such a wonderful natural beauty. It takes one hour flight to get there and 15 min walk to see the first viewpoint. In total, the walk is about one hour and a half to see all the 3 different viewpoints. Bring water, comfortable clothes, and sunblock if you have sensitive skin. To be honest I didn't have any sunblock or mosquito repellent I guess I'm used to it since I'm from Colombia.
Kaieteur Falls is the world's largest single-drop waterfall by the volume of water flowing over it. Located on the Potaro River in the Kaieteur National Park, it sits in a section of the Amazon rainforest included in the Potaro-Siparuni region of Guyana
This tour begins at the Eugene International Airport, where you will take a little plane for a 1-hour flight to Kaieteur national park.
Once there You will walk through the rainforest for about two hours with a tour guide who will show you different viewpoints.
There are actually five viewpoints (Johnson's, Boy Scout, Rainbow, Break, Lookout), two were closed to the public, so we were able to visit only three of them.
I want to say thank you to Guyana's board of tourism to make this possible.
🎥 Big thanks to Mikey 🙏🙏 amazing videographer
This is the link to Trans Guyana flights to Kaieteur fall price per person was $256 However, this may vary depending on the airline.
