Longboat Key & Lido/St. Armand’s Key Have Fascinating History
Longboat Key is a retirement community near the larger cities of Bradenton and Sarasota. South of Longboat Key is Lido Key and St. Armands Key. I go through all three in this video. Longboat Key has some really fascinating history to it, and I explain more of that in the video. Lido Key is also a retirement community but it's more popular among tourists, as there's a large public beach on the island. Longboat Key is mostly private property.

SOUTH LONGBOAT KEY FL TOUR | with Longboat Key Luxury Realtor Shayla Twit
Wrapping up our tour of the island of Longboat Key Florida, today I show you around south Longboat Key.
We begin near the entrance to Bay Isles, in a conveniently located shopping center with a Publix, CVS, nail salon and more.
Just across the street is the gated community of Bay Isles. With more than 1000 residences, this community is perfect for those who enjoy fishing, boating and golf. In addition, the Bay Isles Beach Club offers private beach access, picnic tables, Tiki huts and more.
As we continue south, let's take a quick drive thru Country Club Shores. This waterfront community of 396 single family homes is one of the most sought after communities on the island.
Next we tour behind the gates of the Longboat Key Club. There is a variety of living options in this coveted community, including hotel resorts, condos and single family homes. Located on the southern most portion of the island, it is a quick drive or bike ride away from St. Armands Circle, or spend the day on the golf course, at the spa, playing tennis or lounging at the beach.
Last, it's time for lunch, and you would be missing out if you didn't stop at Old Salty Dog, located near Mote Aquarium. The views cannot be beat as you watch boats coming and going from Marine Max.
