Discovering the Hidden Gems of Central Coast NSW 2023 | Things To Do, Places To Visit 🏖🏄‍♂️

What’s in the central coast? Why people love to spend the weekend in Central Coast? In this video, I am going to take you there to discover the hidden gems of Central Coast NSW, and to check out a beach house with ocean views, crown plaza hotel in Terrigal, beautiful beaches, where to find some delicious foods, and where is this beautiful historical look out. Let’s get started.

There are lot of people moving up to Central Coast due to Sydney housing market is out of reach. And the houses here are relatively cheaper than Sydney, and some have ocean views. We went pass a house up for sale at Umina Beach, asking for $1.5m. It’s on top of the hill, so it has this immense ocean views. It’s a beautiful 3 bed room house with a swimming pool.

We stayed at the Crown Plaza hotel at Terrigal. Terrigal is a major coastal town of Central Coast. Terrigal is a very popular tourist destination with its long stretchy beach, urban and modern living environment. The crown plaza hotel is sitting right in front of the beach, and it certainly becomes my favourite hotel in central coast region.

The hotel feels nice, but it’s a bit dated and looking a bit old. The room rate is $300 per night on week days, and it can go up to $600 per night during the weekend.

Breakfast time is the best experience of our stay, the restaurant is facing east and the pacific ocean, so in the morning the restaurant is filled with morning sunshine, bright and lively.
Breakfast is included in our stay. Otherwise it will cost you $42 per person. The selections are good, lot of varieties, and they taste good.

We had a lunch at Beach House, a modern restaurant located right underneath the Crown Plaza, and right in front of the beach, so it has this beautiful ocean views, plus its delicious menu, combined with vibrant atmosphere, and a live band, we had a good time.

Copacabana beach is only 15 mins drive down south from Terrigal, this area is a bit more quiet and more family friendly. Most of the hoses have ocean views, so you can imagine the price here for a house – it’s easily over $2m. There are only 3000 people living in Copacabana beach, and mostly are local Australians.

5 mins drive, on top of the hill of Copacabana beach, it’s the very famous Winney look out and Captain Cook look out. The views are breathtaking and it’s just unbelievable. A must visit.

If you haven’t been to Avoca Beach, you haven’t been to Central Coast. There are 5000 people living here, and it’s a great place for the surfers, and they also hold annual surfing competition here.

We went to this beautiful restaurant in front of the Avoca beach. The restaurant looks very nice, but the waitress seems like she doesn’t want to be here. Not much services.

There is one regret for this trip – is that we didn’t have enough time to go for a walk in Bouddi Coastal Walk. It’s 8 and half kms long, I can imagine the spectacular ocean view along the walk way.

So there you go, whether you are a sun lover, beach lover, foodie lover, or adventure seeker, there are something for you in central coast. So go out, and enjoy a weekend like we did.

Music is one important part of my vlog. I found this artist 'Hotham' is very talented, and he has made so many beautiful music pieces. So search Hotham in Youtube, subscribe to his channel, and enjoy.

[Sydney] A Day Trip to Long Jetty, NSW

|| Blog ||

Long Jetty has become very popular on social media these days. It is within walking distance of neighboring town The Entrance. Long Jetty is appropriately named as it features 3 extremely long jetties spanning out over the shallow waters of Tuggerah Lake. You will only understand why it is called Long Jetty after you have been there LOL~

How to spend a day in Second Valley, Rapid Bay, and Cape Jervis South Australia | Xplore S01 Ep10

Join me as I explore the stunning coastal region of South Australia, starting with the picturesque town of Second Valley. Located just an hour south of Adelaide, Second Valley is a hidden gem known for its peaceful beaches and beautiful scenery.

Next, I head to Rapid Bay, with its crystal-clear waters and picturesque coastline, Rapid Bay is a photographer's dream come true.

Finally, I end the journey at Cape Jervis.

Follow along as I discover the beauty and charm of Second Valley, Rapid Bay, and Cape Jervis. If you're planning a trip to South Australia, be sure to add these destinations to your list. Second Valley
The Beach is one of South Australia's most instagramed locations. It offers stunning views of the coastline and unique geological formations. This beach is popular for swimming, jetty fishing, snorkelling and scuba diving.

Follow the open valley that narrows at the coast to a gap, through which flows the small Parananacooka Creek and the road to the beach. The small town and caravan park lies on the landward side of the gap. There is a small car park leading to a jetty with the two small beaches to either side.

The eastern beach is sandy and popular for swimming. To the west is a north facing curving long boulder beach attached by rock reefs to a small headland. Conditions are usually calm at this part of the beach; however it is dominated by rocks and reef.

Public toilet facilities are located in the car park. Second Valley Jetty Store is close by for takeaway and ice creams or book in historic Leonards Mill for a gourmet lunch.

Rapid Bay
Nestled between long sandy beaches and towering cliffs, Rapid Bay is 105 kilometres south of Adelaide and reached by a steeply descending road from the main Normanville-Cape Jervis Road.

Rapid Bay is well known for its very long jetty. While the original jetty built in 1940 is closed to the public, a new jetty (opened in early 2009) is now available for use. Take a stroll along the jetty and enjoy fishing or the beautiful views.

At Rapid Bay, you'll also find an important South Australian landmark - a boulder on which Colonel Light carved his initials after he first stepped ashore. It's reported that he said I have hardly seen a place I like better.

Rapid Bay was named after the brig HMS Rapid in which Colonel Light and his staff came to South Australia, discovering Rapid Bay in 1830 enroute to Glenelg.

Rapid Bay is usually calm and relatively safe, just watch the deep water right off both beaches. It's a paradise for divers and snorkelers, with dramatic shipwrecks and stunning marine life, including the famed Leafy Sea dragon.

It is an unpatrolled beach.

Cape Jervis
107 kilometres from Adelaide

Cape Jervis is the gateway and departure point for the ferry services to Kangaroo Island. Here you can embark on a 45 minute journey across Backstairs Passage that reveals the rugged and spectacular coastline of this part of the Fleurieu Peninsula.

This is a popular base for fishermen, with good boat, jetty and beach fishing, as well as various boating services available – even fresh fish for those without time or inclination to catch their own. There are also several local operators that provide fishing charters and boat cruises along the coast.

Bushwalkers have nearby Deep Creek Conservation Park or they can walk from Cape Jervis to Victor Harbor, which is a section of South Australia's famed four-day Heysen Trail.
