Jo & I traveling around beautiful Southern Leyte, Liloan
Liloan is a municipality in the province of Leyte, Philippines. Lilo means swirl in Bisaya which there are fascinating whirlpools as you enter the town just between the two connecting islands.
Location: Liloan is situated on the eastern coast of the island of Leyte in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.
Economy: The economy of Liloan primarily relies on agriculture, fishing, and small-scale businesses. The region is known for producing rice, coconut, and various tropical fruits.
Tourism: Liloan is known for its beautiful beaches and natural attractions, making it a potential destination for tourists looking for a more off-the-beaten-path experience in the Philippines.
Transportation: The municipality is accessible by land and sea. It is connected to other parts of Leyte and neighboring provinces through the road network, and there are also boats and ferries available for transportation to nearby islands and cities.
Historical and Cultural Significance: Like many towns in the Philippines, Liloan has its share of historical and cultural significance. Local festivals, traditions, and cultural events are an integral part of the community.
Exploring Liloan Southern Leyte // We found the best WHITESAND Beaches
Liloan is a fourth class municipality of Southern Leyte province subdivided politically into 24 barangays. The center of the town is located at the northern portion of Panaon Island. The island is connected to the mainland by a bridge called Wawa Bridge. While the name of the municipality Liloan is derived from the local term “lilo” which means “whirlpool.” These whirlpools are seen at Panaon Strait.

MALINGIN ROCKS ADVENTURE IN MULAO LILOAN CEBU | PERFECT TREKKING ADVENTURE IN CEBU PHILIPPINES
Malingin rock is what it is called by the locals in barangay Mulao in Liloan Cebu because of it's massive rocks. The place is located in the secluded mountain area in Liloan where you can see a beautiful scenery of nature. Heading to the place is already an adventure, my friend and i took a motorbike or habal-habal and you will pass in a small road steep and uphill. Once you arrive in the barangay office you need to register and the entrance fee is only Php 10.00. They have a tour guide that will lead you the way and they don't have a tariff how much you need to pay so it's up to you how much you can give but my friend and i just decided to give Php100.00 each. While we start our adventure i don't wear mask coz i want to breathe fresh air and we went to a mountain place not expose with crowd of people so i find safe not to wear mask.
I highly recomment this place for those people who seek for adventure, this place is beautiful, watching the riverflow is so relaxing, and indeed a perfect trekking adventure.

On my bike again which recently had an awesome oil change. Me and Siloy, my Yamaha MT03, cruising my way to the farthest point of southern Cebu.
Santander is located 133 kilometers south of Cebu City. Actually the town is the southernmost tip of Cebu Island. Bordered by Samboan and Oslob in the north, the island of Negros (Neg. Oriental) to the south, to the east is Cebu Strait and to the west is the Tañon Strait.
Popular among travellers to and from Negros because of its ports in Liloan which offers ferry and roro trips to Sibulan, San JOse (Tampi) and also to Larena Siquijor. Many vehicles coming from Negros make a stopover in Santander's Park (Igwaron/Sanayon Park). This open space offers a view of the 4 components of Central Visayas- Cebu, Negros Oriental, Bohol and Siquijor.
Join me in my tour in and around Santander. From Barangay Pasil to Poblacion to Barangay Liloan and even the hilly Barangay of Bunlan where one can have a majestic and clearest view of Negros Island and the water that divides Cebu and Negros-the Tañon Strait.
